Being enjoying Foxtel iq 4 with limited channels for $10.
Now that they are removing this they are automatically reverting me to $30 plan. Nice little price hike.
Anyone else in this situation? If so what are you considering as an alternative. It was handy to have Foxtel and play Netflix through it.

Vodafone TV appears to be gone, so would need to look second hand.
Alternatively there’s the Chromecast with Google TV, but you may be waiting till Nov for stock.
If you still want some DVR functionality, perhaps a Fetch Mighty. I believe you can access Netflix on that.
Fetch has apps for Netflix, prime, Stan, hayu(sp?) and you tube. It also has the free to air catch up apps.
They also have subs packages from $7 a month. We’ve been getting the one with Comedy Central and mtv while we are home more.
It’s a pretty good setup. They sell refurb boxes on eBay with 12month warranty.
EDIT don’t accidentally buy an ISP linked version. I don’t believe they can be unlocked.

You’re likely eligible for the free Binge 3/6/9 month trial through Telstra. Most Foxtel shows are on Binge and some are live streamed.

I know this is an old thread but when I contacted Foxtel today their cheapest plan is now $49 a month!?!? Not sure what the $30 plan being referred to here is but it doesn't seem to exist any more.
What is your set top box and technology?
If you are on a IQ2 or lower via cable and where an existing subscriber (longer then 12 months) when the change happened. Then you still get access to the $29 basic/entertainment plan. (Or did when I asked.)
If you have a IQ4 then your new minimum plan is $49 a month (less any haggle discounts). This also may apply to IQ3 satellite users.
Ahh. Yes they 'upgraded' me to the iq4 for free without mentioning this catch. $49 seems like an awful lot for standard foxtel. No wonder they're losing subscribers.
Not really surprising. For that price they will want people on Binge not using a box.
