    Good for court.

Nothing says throw the book at him your honour like a cheap ill fitting suit.

Target trying to steal yd and Tarotrash customers?! How dare they!

    • Unless you are, in fact, a lawyer…

    • sorry, but what will happen if I go there not in suit? :) Impressed justice is an oppressed justice.

    I'm on my 2nd Marriage & don't want a 3rd… So I guess court it is

  • +3

    How are you getting 68? I'm getting $93 :(

    • Same here. We are probably doing something wrong.

      • I purchased in store. $93 is the price before it subtracts the $25 for purchasing the combo

    great for zoom job interviews

      No need for the pants

"Perfect for your next court appearance or 2nd marriage!"

Damn that was essentially going to be my joke

    • Thought I'd get in early. The first comment stole my thunder regardless!

    • As I read your comment & got to the word "damn" I was expecting it to say something like "damn this takes me back". For what it's worth I'm glad it doesn't.

  • Would they be any good for job interviews or just too tacky/crap quality?

    • +3

They are actually not that bad. I've needed to have them altered to fit better, but once that's done, they look decent.

    • +2

The actual material seems fine (maybe not so much on the black suit, but the navy variants are nice imo)

The jacket fit would need a slight alter for me if I wanted it to look great, but that is true for most premade suits.

    • +2

Brand new it would be fine, it would just likely go shiny really fast if you start wearing it every day for work.

    • +2

I bought a couple when they were $99 because I never wear a suit but wanted something for job interviews, Melbourne Cup drinks etc.
The fit will depend on your body type, but they fit me great and my mates wearing MJ Bale, Hugo Boss, Peter Jackson etc couldn't tell the difference.
I wouldn't use it as an everyday suit as it probably won't last, but for something you only intend to wear a handful of times it's hard to go past

      • Hugo Boss, Peter Jackson etc have rubbish overpriced suits. People buy them because of the label, so not surprising your mates couldn't tell the difference between a target suit lol

Just in time for school formals

Is court a frequent occurrence to warrant its own suit? If it is, I have a lot of questions..

    • +3

It's even cheaper if you walk out without paying.

    • +9

It's a good idea to keep suits for several occasions:

      • A law suit when you're going to court
      • A white suit when you're getting divorced
      • A black suit for the funeral home

And a birthday suit when you're home alone

      • Get the black suit and use them for all three occasions. Commiserations for all three events anyway.

That reference takes me back! Love it haha

Good song I think lifestyles of the rich and famous?

    • to warrant its own suit?

      Nice!

    Great wedding suit.

  • Have the jacket and pants together in basket but can't seem to bring the price down to $68, stays $93. What am I doing wrong?

    • Might be in-store only? Self service checkout applied the discount automatically for me

  • The slacks aren't that bad. Wouldn't be caught dead wearing a suit jacket from Target though.

These would be great for a school-leaver/graduate with job interviews. You could get them properly fitted for extra at a shopping centre tailor for an extra ~$50

    • +2

$50… damn, that's almost the suits price :)

      • +1

Well yeah but for a school leaver on youth allowance, $100 for the suit + fitting is still good

tracksuits are the only suits I wear

  • Perfect for that cafe job interviews when Melbourne finally comes out of lockdown.

  • Ozsale has suits for 35 dollars + 10 shipping. Sizing is a big issue with them though.

    • Sizing is a complete lottery. Can easily be 4 sizes discrepancy (so an XL purchase delivers a garment that fits a small).
I presume it is due to the mix of Asian, European and US remaindered stock.
The size guides occasionally help if they have one specific to the brand, but if they don't there is no telling.

      • I am a 32. Ordered 36 just in case. Received one that felt was like 28.

In olden day movies they talk about $100 suits like it’s a big deal.

  • Yup, wondering how we get it for $68

    • Might be in-store only? Self service checkout applied the discount automatically for me

    • a lot of slave labour and pollution.

Thanks. Got 1 in store. I find these fit me pretty well without alteration.
