Amazon UK Orders Not Arriving

Hi All,

I ordered 2 items from Amazon UK, separate dates and totally different items and both never arrived. Been over 45 days now.

Just wondering if this has happened to others? I believe there has been more reports of it occuring?

Both items were shipped via APG. https://apgecommerce.com/tracking
And it only shows there "Shipping information received by APG" and no further updates…

I have ordered many other items from Amazon US and AU and those items arrived no problems. Only the UK orders had issues…

    Have you tried contacting Amazon?

    • Yup, they said both packages are lost. just wondering if its happened to others and if its a common occurrence.

Ah ok, usually Amazon are good and will just refund you if they consider the package lost so the downside is just waiting longer for the item to arrive if you order it again.

Someone mentioned below that APG is Australia Post Global. Never heard of that, but I've had two packages from Amazon that was "lost" by Aus Post through the years, one from Amazon US and the other from Amazon AU.

Both were eventually delivered some time well after Amazon had declared them lost and sent out a replacement or refund. You might potentially receive them eventually once somebody finds them neglected in the back of an Aus Post truck.

      • Happen to me just recently, Amazon says my item from UK got lost, 2 weeks past due date.

Tell Amazon that you needed the stuff urgently, that you would repurchase. They will refund you. If its high value item, they will credit you $30 if you are lucky or ask em politely.

Eventually the lost item got delivered afterall, with the packaging looks funky, item was okay tho. Double items plus $30 credit received, just luv my Amazon. :D

        • Refund the extra so you've got a free item and $30 credit to boot.

    • I did another order and paid for the highest shipping option which put the item through DHL and thats still in shipment but seems like the tracking there is showing it'll come and more updates

  • APG is Australia Post Global. I've had a few come that way, has taken 2 - 3 weeks on average.

    • ahh must be just unlucky for me then…

      • FWIW I don't think the tracking on any of mine has been accurate. the one I received a week ago shows it's being delivered today and the one about 6 weeks ago shows it was received by the carrier Sep 8

    • Ugh. That explains why 80% of packages get lost and a snail can out deliver them.

  • I had one package get lost recently for the first time ever via Amazon.

Was with Fastaway. Something else I've bought since arrived in two weeks.

Amazon was good with giving a refund though once 5 days had past the due date.

  • I have an item 'from APG' in transit - I got the initial notice of it about a week before the "Cleared by customs" was the first actual transaction in the history.

Admittedly, this item is coming from eBay internationally not Amazon.

  • If it is just a fun purchase then it is good that it isn't arriving - Amazon will refund you and the item might show up one day. It is more exciting that way.

If it is something you really need though, that sucks. Since you have waited so long and now need to order it AGAIN and wait AGAIN…

Good luck whatever your situation is!

    • Yeah not getting what you ordered and having to buy it somewhere else anyway two months later is hella exciting. You should start selling experiences for people, you hold their packages up behind the scenes months at time and you throw some of them in the river and eventually the client gets refunded. The excitement never ends!

Well in the slightly more exciting category would be items you don't need and wouldn't reorder, just bought for fun or on impulse due to a sale. You get your money back and move on with your life, and maybe a few months later you get a surprise fun item that was free.

        • Even better, you can turn it into a philosophy lesson about consumerism. Not getting what you paid for could be the best thing that has ever happened to you.

yeah super annoying. and the items I buy is usually cheaper than anywhere else…

  • Items I have ordered from there seem to be taking a while to be sent (a couple of weeks in some instances), also have a parcel which seems to be lost.

  • Has been mentioned here https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/572448#comment-9437202

I cancelled an order which I had, as a week later when I asked for the timeline they just gave me the expected time that it would arrive based on what was estimated for the day I asked. Their reasoning was that there weren't enough 'slots' to send to Australia for the demand.

  • I've not had a problem with my WD Drives

  • Logitech Megaboom from Amazon UK over a 1 month late.. then got an email from Amazon about return to sender and refunded automatically

    • Yup, that's what happened to one of my orders…

  • Blame international arrival caps and closed borders.

  • I'm my experience APG tracking only updates once it arrives domestically, so it'll sit in that state for a couple of weeks at the moment before it gets into the country.

  • Sometimes they get stuck at sorting depots

  • I've bought 2 vinyl records from UK sellers on Amazon - both have not arrived in months.

Seems to be a common thing.
