Great price. But the black version is better and include many more specs compared to this. Including 4k at 60 whereas this one is 4k at 30. Also the Black one has Hyper-smooth stabilization where Silver one is just standard. Check out some YouTube videos before buying so you won't be disappointed.

    • It does do 1440p at 60 though; and there's many a discussion about whether gopro are using enough bitrate for 4k footage.

Quite a few amateur film creators i know are shooting in 2k and upscaling.

      • 2K on the GoPro's looks nowhere near as good at the 4K setting on the Black models.

so the more expensive one is better? no way!

We 'dun groed up in diff'rnt times mah boi.

Back in my day, we had things called DVDs (and before that vhs, but lets stay digital).

They were 520p, usually telecine interlaced, and often limited in bitrate at their mpeg2 format.

1440p at 60fps, progressive, with built in stabilisation?
To me, thats a very "good cam".

Not the best, but damn, id never not call it 'good'.

  • Typo in the header. It's GoPro without the space.

  • Would these be good to do "walking' videos for YouTube?

So, that people from Victoria see it .

Is it possible to do officeworks price match in Melbourne Victoria?
Seems stores shut and phone number isnt operated on weekends.. hmmm

    • Just call their 1300 no. and get the 5% price beat.

  • This or the insta 360 at the same price point?
    link

    • your link is the 360 lens module for the insta one r i think,

    • You mean insta360 go. Yes I have it. They serve different purposes though. The insta360 is tiny & easy to mount anywhere and its less noticeable than the gopro. But it can only record max 60s clip at a time. It’s suitable if you wanna do highlight videos.
Also, it doesn’t have a lcd screen so its functionalities based on how many times you press the button or how long. Very confusing. Most of the time I couldn’t get it to record the mode I want.
      Cool little toy though.

      • Can it do time lapse, say one 360 photo a second for 12 hours connected to a battery box?

        • They can do timelapse, I have a 3 black 3+ and 4 black, I have used them all for some sort of proper photo timelapse, not video fast fwd
The issue is with older cams you needed to stitch the images together, pretty sure the newer ones auto do it in cam

        • Yeah timelapse or hyperlapse for 30 minutes. Thing is, without LCD, and only 1 button for all different modes. I find it really hard to operate and know what it is doing most of the times. It doesn't need to connect to the box to do it.

    • Sorry, this is the link:
      https://www.digidirect.com.au/insta360-one-r-dual-lens-360-m…

So if I buy this, I need something else to go with it to make it work? It's not a stand alone camera? Will it serve any good as a dashcam for my motorbike?

  • site crashed? wtf

    • No, they've just removed the GoPro 7 from the site.
