[Switch] Agent A: A Puzzle in Disguise - $1.24 (Was $24.99), Headliner: NoviNews - $1.48 (Was $19.99) @ Nintendo eShop

450

No idea why, but lately more and more quality titles are hitting shovelware-esque prices on the eshop.

This is the new all-time-lowest price for the Australian-made Agent A.

79, 7.7 on Metacritic

Headliner: NoviNews has a 75 and 7.6 on Metacritic

While you're digging around in the bargain bin, also consider:

80 Days (has a metacritic score of 84, 8.1) for $3.65 (normally $18.29)

And This Strange Realm of Mine for $1.99 (just finished this myself and had a fantastic time).

Agent A is terrific, highly recommended.

I would say Agent A is a must buy at $25
A no brainer at the current price
    Plus developed in Australia!

Great game, but $25 for what is really just a mobile game is the definition of "switch tax".

Definitely a no brainer at this price though.

They take a $5 game from 10 years ago and people pay top dollar for switch version.

        • +2

No they don't. Hence this is reduced to $1.24

        • If you look at various price trackers, you might find that the Switch version would have a lower average price for this game (taking into consideration that it's put on sale pretty much every month since launch) than the PS4 version, which has been locked at $20.45 since launch.

… Though I suspect that's probably more from even the devs forgetting the PS4 version exists, rather than the price being maintained as an effect of supply and demand.

Agent A was great on Android, but I found it seemed to get more obscure (not necessarily increased difficulty) the further you progress. Maybe just me though.

    • It definitely was near the end of the game.

  • Thank you OP for $2 that’s a bargain

  • Nice! Thanks!!

  • Reviews in this deal made it an easy buy. Thanks

  • Headliner any good?

    • I purchased and looked up reviews which seemed like it'd be decent.

Basically designed to be replayable and witness your choices as a journalist affect society. I'm keen to jump into it soon

  • I think my kid finished this on android.

  • Agent A for $1.24 is a bloody good deal for a fun Australian developed puzzle game. I completed it on iOS and for $1.24 I'm considering buying it again just to support the devs.

80 Days for $3.65 is also a great price for a fun twist on Around the World in 80 Days, from the same studio as Heaven's Vault and the recently released Pendragon. Every run should give you different choices and different outcomes so the replayability alone is worth it for the price. I've completed 3 runs on PC and there's still many more storylines to go by.

its a great game, at this price, if you haven't played it before and you like puzzle solving game, then its a good choice. However I wouldn't buy it at $25 tho. The game length is a bit short IMO. The $25 dollars is just to make the the discounted price looks like a bargain. I don't think the game should be selling at $25
