Burn the Rope Worlds - iOS App (Usually 99¢, Now Free)

310

Great game – I also got the original version while it was free and I love it. Very addictive, unique gameplay. It's been highly rated by TouchArcade (★★★★✩) and App Store reviewers (★★★★½).
NOTE: If you like this deal, don't forget to +ve it!

Burn the Rope: Worlds lights up your iPhone all over again with 100 brand-new levels, four different themed worlds including Jungle, Mechanical, Fantasy and Space; and an exciting brand new mini-game called Endless Burn.

Like the original Burn the Rope, the goal is to burn as much rope as possible without letting the flames burn out. Flames only burn upwards and the phone must be rotated in order to keep the flames going. Along the way different types of bugs crawling along the rope can help or hinder players as they try to solve each puzzle.

Burn the Rope: Worlds’ Endless Burn is a brand new mini-game where the player tries to collect as many bugs as possible — the catch is that as the player collects bugs their flame trail gets longer, and if they run into the flame trail the round is over! Endless Burn features 3 different levels of difficulty so players of all skill levels can share in the fun.

Features:

  • 100 brand new levels (+hundreds more through daily puzzle)
  • Four new worlds!
  • Incredibly fun new mini-game Endless Burn!
  • New Puzzles updated daily!
  • Casual mode for a more relaxed session!

I was about to buy this and noticed the "Top In App Purchases" list which shows a 99 cent "Remove Ads" app so it appears to be ad supported. No drama with that, free apps with ad support are fine and so is paying 99 cents to remove them but I would have been more than a little peeved if I'd paid 99 cents for the app and then had to pay another 99 cents to remove ads.

yeh I don't get it when devs do that. an even more outrageous example is Justin.TV's app which has been $10.49 at one stage, but still has ads. they removed them in an update, but then re-added them. #douches
however, i don't ever see any ads because I've blocked almost all (if not all) major ad servers via OpenDNS.

      • is there a tutorial on how to this? cheers

        • Sure – I have actually created a tutorial in the past to help others benefit from an ad-free experience:

          1. OpenDNS have put together a handy little video which helps you set it all up.
          2. Once you've done everything in the video, stay on the settings page.
          3. Scroll down to "Manage individual domains"
          4. In the field next to "Always block", add the different ad servers you come across. I've spent hours doing all the dirty work of sniffing out all the various ad servers, so you're welcome to use my comprehensive list if you wish.

And you're done! No more ugly ads!

Another noteworthy aspect of the already-fantastic service that is OpenDNS, is the website category filtering; it enables you to block entire categories of websites – handy, say, if you have kids… Or if don't want your employees having too much fun at work… And trust me – it is the best net filter I've come across; it's almost exhaustive and it beats installing bloatware to bog down your computer and block you from websites that aren't inappropriate…

Size 25.1 MB. Need wi-fi to download this. Thanks OP.

    • no worries, mate. out of curiosity due to seeing people note this before, do some people keep their phone on 3G rather than Wi-Fi?

      • +1

3G at work. Wi-fi at home. So if you see the post at work, you can't do much till you get home.

you can go to Maccas though…

even if you don't download it all there… (it's slower than 3G sometimes), you can at least complete the purchase, and then complete the download at home later… (in case the price goes up)

Or you could even jailbreak and install 3G Unrestrictor to remove the limitation for life…

  • @itsfree — why not just link directly to itunes.apple.com, as AppShopper is just an affiliate?
