  • Have 3 of these in my apartment and I always get asked about it every time I get visitors. Does great for what it's worth at this price. Can recommend.

  • Are these better than the generic ones also available on Amazon?

    https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B086GHN58C/ref=ppx_yo_d…

    • Extremely, i have these and i also have the "Xiaomi button" so i can pretty much turn them on at my bedside without even needing to use the App.

  • Hi all, has anyone installed these for their kitchen to illuminate the benchtop?

    • HI,

I have them under the breakfast bar and on the side of stairs. The seem to work well with the Xiaomi motion sensor, (used only at night)
      I have them installed in a channel\diffuser.

They do what they are meant to do for the price. Also the app is ok and they seem to work fine wiht Alexa,(donot have google so can not comment)

      • Tuya smart life app works with Google, Alexa and iftt so its got good compatibility

      • Thanks Max0309

  • According to website lightening deal 3 left in stock

  • Is there a non wifi version?

    • for non wifi version i would recommend you look into SP105E controller and buying WS2812B strips

  • +1

    It's showing $74.95 + $7.86 postage for me?

    • this was a lightning deal

  • I have gone through a few of these, the LED strip is fine but the power adapter dies on them after around a year. I would not buy these again I have had two power adapter fail and have now moved to LIFX LED strips and have no problems. The LIFX is also a lot brighter.

    • These are also RGB only, not RGBW like the LIFX Z Strip. As a result they can't do a quality white light if that's what you're after.
Yeelight do a White only (tuneable temperature) strip which is excellent, but I've only seen it on AliExpress.

      • +1

Actually i have an older generation of this strip and it does white fine. Yeelight has a "white mode" in the app that allows you to choose the colour temperature of your white.

The only thing about this strip is it is based off WS2811 strips and are not individually addressable, so you cant get rainbow aurora effects.

I would actually recommend looking at using SP501E controllers from Aliexpress and ordering WS2812B strips and assorted power adapters. Cost will be less, flexibility will be more.

        • What would you recommend for soft luminating the back of a bathroom mirror. Have put a recessed gpo behind the mirror (60 cm round).

Looking on Ali express. Are the 230v 'neon leds' any good? If not a low voltage IR/ Bluetooth version will do.

  • Never thought about connecting buttons and i got lifx coming. Anyone know of a way to connect lifx to buttons?

  • Hi all

Does anyone know of a kit that can control 2 LED strips with one base? eg, I want one strip on one side of the stovetop exhaust, and another strip on the other side..
I don't want to run the strip across the stovetop exhaust as it will get very oily and dirty. Also if your internet is down, how do you turn on the LED strip?

  • Thanx..

  • Anyone have our used these from Arlec?

    https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/218638/83775/20201005_…

Spotted them at Bunnings the other week. I have a 10 recess either side of open plan dining lounge area currently using old fluorescent tubes that I want to replace with LED strips.
