These were $9.90 last week from this deal- https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/571058

The new lower sugar formula is rubbish.

    • Is the old Sprite formula still sold? I never see it anywhere now.

      • +1

No, but that doesn't change the fact that the new one is rubbish. Very bad move by Coca-Cola. In the USA, Sprite there still has the full sugar content.

        • +1

Yeah that's why I'm asking. I agree with you. This lemon-lime Aussie low-sugar sprite tastes awful. I don't like high-sugar drinks, but this attempt at lowering sugar is a bad fail.

@Morven: The lemon-lime part hasn't changed, just the sugar. Agreed that it's garbage though.

    • Stevia laced garbage.

Also I don't think it's possible to get Dr Pepper anymore without it either being adulterated with artificial sweetener or High Fructose Corn Syrup? Very irritating.

    40% LESS SUGAR

    Less than what ?

      Less than 100%, jv.

        Oh, thanks…

  • I like the new formula - but this isn't a deal IMO. Amazon clears them at <50c a can once every few months.

    • yea so 9.90/24 is 41 cents, minus the 10c refund is effectively 31 cent a can.

      • Yeah 50c a can pre refund

  • I never understand reduced sugar formula changes - zero or sugar seems logical.

zero drinks are routinely more expensive though cheaper to manufacture. Sugar tax is needed to fund diabetes treatment nation wide - feds won't do it because the yanks don't care about health just money.

    • Could be pre-empting a sugar tax?

    • +1

Completely agree. Why do things half heartedly with 40 percent less sugar? I'm a big fan of sugar free soft drink though.

  • Normal price. But unlike others, I'm a fan of this 40% less sugar variant and their zero sugar option as well.
