    Yes get the TrueAir2.
Much better performance, looks better and more compact.

They also have TrueMirroring now, which mean seamless swapping between left / right / both buds. Before there used to be a brief pause whenever it switched.

    • FYI, TrueAir2 $40 USD delivered no discount. Probably worth paying the extra $10 USD for the newer gen version. But if you're on budget for wireless buds under $50 AUD then TrueAir1 is a pretty good deal.

Amazon.com.au is selling the TrueAir2 for $39.94 AUD at the moment.
        Normal price $46.99.

I don't know why anyone would buy the older ones instead.

        • Maybe because there is not trueair2 white?

    • Not too sure if you had to downvote this deal just because TrueAir2 is, as you said, better. I mean I wouldn't neg a PS4 deal just because the newer PS5 is supposedly better.

      • More likely an Apple fan boy

      • +1

        Not just better but cheaper.

I literally own both models and I can tell you that the new model is better in every way - features, functionality, looks, size, weight. The neg is a PSA for others to do their research.

Would you pay more for an inferior, outdated product? Just because something is reduced in price doesn’t make it good value. We are on Ozbargain after all.

  • How much is that in AUD including shipping? It's also on amazon for $54.

  • Got two, earlier. They are great for the price. But you cant compare them with airpods. But the shape and the case is similar but the technology inside is where you notice it like its been few months and i have noticed them getting less signals the older they get. Battery is fine too. I like the black colour personally, not sure if that one is on sale. Got it for about 55ish.

"looks and functions like the Apple Airpods" ha ha ha ha yeah nah

  • "half-ear style" is not a thing. It does not make any sense at all - please don't use this term!

It's an earbud style earphone with stem. Or stem earbuds. Or even Airpods style earphone. Whatever you want to call it, except "half-ear style"!

Haha I think he meant half in-ear style.
Or it could be catered towards the likes of Evander Hollyfield. :P

    • Whatever you want to call it, except "half-ear style"!

      Gangnam style!

  • What is the best option for a good value earphone if you have ears that normal ones fall out out - something more like the airpods pro?

Would it something like this - https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B0827JB47V/ref=ox_sc_sa…

    • The TruEngine 2 that you linked is a 2 generations older model. It is quite big and heavy and sticks out of your ears quite a bit.

There's actually the TruEngine 3 SE that is supposed to be better but is currently not available on Amazon.

Probably because they have just launched the H1 which is on kickstarter but you will pay a premium for it.

To be honest if you are looking for good value I would stick to the TrueDot. Nice, lightweight and compact (both the earbuds and also the case), the bass is very rich, and the call quality is excellent. I have both this and the TruEngine 2 that you linked, and I much prefer it.

Also suggest checking out reviews here: https://www.scarbir.com/truewireless. The TrueDot has consistently been in the top bracket even though there have been many newer and more expensive ones out.

      • Hey mate, thank you very much for the reply.

I'll look into the TrueDot and also on scarbir!

      • I just did a fair bits of calls in the pass two days after received my TrueAir2, so far very good. Lighter than Truebuds but my Truedot is the older version doesn't have noise cancelling cVc, sound is good for music.

Now I have TrueAir2 seems good on both, it is semi in-ear very easy to wear and comfortable. At first you feel like it will easy fall out but it didn't.

        • Yeah I've got a whole bunch of these cheap and cheerful wireless earbuds and I think my current favourite is the TrueAir2, followed by the TrueDot. I've also got a few Taotronics ones (79/88/92) and they have some cool features but sad to say the call quality isn't as good.

Agree with your assessment - once you get used the feel of the TrueAir2 half-sitting in your ear, they are actually quite secure. I also like the open feel which allows background sounds through, and you don't feel like you are wearing ear plugs.
