Agree. but horses for courses, quite handy bag for kids going on school picnic carrying some snacks and water bottle. was looking for a non laptop bag and cant complain pricewise either.
Add more padding. Cut up a rubber mat or a foam sheet and put a pillow case around it. At this price, it's worth doing. Not for a $3k laptop, but for a cheap one or an old one.
I bought a few. Not a laptop backpack at all. No padding and no laptop pouch. I'll keep them because they're $5 backpacks but I wouldn't want to pay more.

No your laptop won't be in great shape after putting it in there. There isn't much padding to protect it.
