Perrier-Jouët Belle Époque Champagne $163.80 @ BWS (Certain Stores)

140

Update: It seems the vast majority of stores aren't discounting. But here's my proof anyway
https://iili.io/3MaYua.png

Perrier-Jouët Belle Époque Champagne Vintage usually priced between $250-$300.

BWS online Click&Collect adds the Champagne to the cart for $182 then takes off 10%, total $163.80.

Only works with stores that have stock and also DON’T sign into your Woolworths Rewards account. Check-out without logging into your account, otherwise the prices jumps to $230.

I picked up my bottle today without any issue.

I didn’t get it to work

  • +3

Should be nice with some OJ

  • +2

Showed as $260 to me clicking through the link. Didn’t matter as no stock anywhere near me (or even not near me) in any case.

  • +2

Got stock near me but still shows 260

    • Same here and not logged in, shows $260 in cart then takes off 10%

      • 4006 Tenerife worked for me. I guess it's limited to slower stores?

  • +1

It may be really restricted to certain stores. Sorry! I guess I was just lucky that my local store had this deal (4006 Tenerife post code)

Can't see any in Perth or surrounds. Looks like limited to certain parts of QLD?

Great price if you can get it! What vintage did you get? 2012 I'm guessing? If you wound up with a 2008, even better.

        1. The online ratings I found put it above 2012 but below 2008. Only one way to find out!
        • Sorry, what did you end up with? 2011? I can't quite tell from your post, apologies.

Tried a handful of places in VIC and none showing this price.

  • I doubt this will be anywhere in South Australia.
It's a bit like the wine clearance, in New South Wales there was loads of good deals but in South Australia absolutely nothing

I found a few at tea tree Plaza in South Australia if anyone is interested, even though I've no idea when I'm going to drink this and it will probably be stored alongside all my other champagne I purchased the bottle

  • Just checked it is in the clearance section at the store you said and does show $182

  • I noticed some Mumm champagne for $73.5 vintage and Dan Murphy's has it for around $115

Ashgrove - 4060 - shows the $182 price - coming down to 163 in cart

    Too expensive for me!

    • it is expensive but with that price it's nearly $100 cheaper than Dan Murphy's and I have a lot of 40th birthday parties coming up next year so 🤔

earlier this year was buying so much wine and then I was thinking I don't even drink that much so I decided that unless something is a humongous saving I just won't I won't spend much on alcohol anymore

  • Who pays this for Bubbly? Come on, fess up…..

    • +1

      Alot of people. it's vintage.

  • Look to anyone paying ~160< for a bottle of Champagne/Sparkling must be earning a hell of a lot more money then me

I think it just depends on the person as in like I've got plenty of friends who smoke and that must cost them at least 5 to $10,000 a year and I don't smoke I really go out on weekends and drink so I have a lot of excess income that most people spend on the weekends

I don't think most people on OzBargain are drinking this every week though if I told my brother he probably want to buy 5 bottles

      • Though i agree most ppl on Ozb wont be buying this. A large umber of the OZB community are rich (or lying) i've been on this few a few years and dead set the people on this forum could afford to pay RRP for somethings.

But i guess thats how they got rich….

        • What's classified as rich the average salary in Australia is around 75000 so let's say there's quite a few OzBargain is earning 100000+ which is easily quite achievable for most people in their mid thirties onwards than in reality what really is $160 for a bottle

          • @[Deactivated]: It’s a few things- values, and spending priorities, higher incomes on here.
This is a great bargain, I’d be happy to get 6 of these and get the extra 10% too, but I never buy coffees (don’t drink it) and pack a lunch every day. And on top I earn really decent $.

  • Yep , not bad price. It's my everyday go to drink, I usually have something a bit nicer over the weekend . Thanks OP, for posting something us battlers can relate to and enjoy

      It's OzBargain, not OzBattlers.

      • Well done you can read after all

  • Yes it is expensive, but a great deal nevertheless. Good find OP
I really like billecart salmon when i can get it on special.
I know it isn't in the same league as Perrier-Jouët Belle Époque

  • like I mentioned above I also found the mumm champagne vintage for sale for around $73 I believe and I think Dan Murphy's has it for 115 so still a great price
