Why is this worthy of being an Ozbargain?

We know it's important for everyone to ensure bargains are posted.

To save confusion for bargain hunters on similar items above, what differentiates this particular product and offer is:

  • This is a bin that holds 5L
  • Made of premium #304 stainless steel (best protection from rusting from food scrap liquids. When others donโ€™t say the steel grade or are coloured, itโ€™s likely low grade steel that will rust quickly)
  • Includes two layers of charcoal filters (minimises odours)
  • Includes home compostable bin liners (perfectly sized for this bin)
  • Lip moulded lid (to prevent filters falling out)
  • Flush sides to the bin base (for easy cleaning)
  • 6% cashback with Cashrewards (this product is in Home category)

There's a limited quantity available at this price.
Limited to 1 per customer/order
Deal will be marked expired once this limit is hit and promo code deactivated.

Good luck Ozbargainers!

  • Just bought. Tks

    • Welcome sencibel ๐Ÿ‘

  • Thanks - bought one. Any idea when the bin liners will be available? Any discounts going on your produce bags or beeswax wraps?

    • +2

Next week for listing the bin liners, but you'll get 10 inside with the bin.

Happy to pull together a special OZB deal for those next week - thanks for the feedback!

      • I see the produce bags are in stock - any chance of a discount for these and the beeswax wraps? Looking to stock up for Christmas

        • hey macfudge, sorry for the delay on that one. wraps and bin liner are scheduled for a deal on monday. produce bags we will schedule for first week of dec (if you're willing to wait)

          • @zenifyau: Thanks! I'll wait until Monday and then stock up with a few of each - great Christmas gifts!

            • @macfudge: morning macfudge - we were expecting our stock that landed at the warehouse on friday to check in over the weekend, which it sadly hasn't. So we'll need another day or so before we can run the wraps. just so you know you're not forgotten and as soon as they're checked in, we'll run.

              • @zenifyau: Thanks so much for letting me know @zenifyau! I can wait :-)

              • @zenifyau: Hi zenifyau - any news on these? Just saw Amazon showing only 3 of the beeswax wraps left in stock!

                • @macfudge: Yep, we're back in full stock as of this evening. So we'll run it monday morning.

                • @macfudge: Keep an eye out for a deal at 11:50 today on bin liners and wraps

  • Hi, I used the voucher above but the price didn't change. Now I can't even cancel the order.

Can I either get a refund or get the price amended?

    • Hey, you should be able to cancel the order in your My Orders (any order on Amazon can be cancelled). If the voucher hasn't been used by you, then it will work again (first time). If you're still having trouble on the site, we can point you to the telephone support.

  • Thanks, been looking to buy something like this for a while. Ordered one.

    • Welcome gbak17!

  • Nice - this will be a good upgrade to my crappy tupperware container.

    • Keen to hear how this one compares for you Hinee

  • Do you sell replacement filters?

    • Not right now Traveller, but the space for the filter is standardised so you can pick some up from Howard Storage World or any major kitchen store. Hope that helps.

  • Good timing. Our old one is getting a little rusty. Ordered.

    • stainless steel getting rusty?

      • +2

Yes, even stainless steel can rust. The rate (or ease) of rust comes down to the quality and mix of metals, which is graded using a numbering system. So this bin is 304, which is better than the usual 201 we see in kitchen bins. Hope that helps.

        • hi Op, thank you for chucking us this deal
a question if you dont mind, how long do u recommend before we start composting them?
im thinking of doing bokashi but it is not recommended that I open the bokashi bin often, hence the above question, so i can gauge if i i can use them to hold 2, 3 or more days before i transfer them into bokashi bin

          • @squidz: Good question - yes, you can easily get more than 2-3 days, depending on how many people in the household and how much produce consumed.

            • @zenifyau: Hi, any upcoming promotions for Friday?

      • My rusty one isnโ€™t stainless. Itโ€™s a cheapie I got from Kmart about five years ago.

  • Personally I use an old 2l Yogurt container with a lid. No smell and it goes straight in the dishwasher. However, this does look better.

  • Thanks OP. ordered one.
