450
OZBARGAIN

Don't take our word for how good this new release Shiraz is, hear what Master of Wine, Jane Masters MW says about it:

"Full of chocolate and spices with a touch of smoke and green leaf, this is a medium-bodied Shiraz. Grapes were grown mainly in the Riverland with some Langhorne Creek and Currency Creek fruit. A small amount of Petit Verdot was added, giving a firm slightly austere acidity with lingering flavours of bitter cherries and green leaf. Drink now to 2023"

Just $58.50/6pk or $107.10/doz. Bec Hardy SA Shiraz 2019 - James Halliday 5* small, family producer. Less than $10/btl (RRP $17).

There are nine other wines (Sparkling, Reds, Whites) and Four Mixed Packs (Mixed, Red and Whites) to choose from - all with an extra 10% off and FREE SHIPPING using the code OZBARGAIN.

Top quality wines at wholesale prices.

Wines ship within 72 hours from our warehouse in McLaren Vale.

Any chance of a Tavola Nero or a Durif coming on Sale anytime soon?

    • I'm afraid not. We no longer make those varieties. Cheers! RD :-)

Thanks. Ordered a BBQ Dozen to Perth. Last cab sav dealed arrived last thurs, about 2 weeks for shipping.

thats unfortunate, obviously given the circumstances its an unfair comparison, but in Adelaide I've been getting my orders overnight.

    • Sorry to hear of the delayed delivery to WA. Two weeks isn't good enough. I'd like to take a look at why that was the case. Are you please able to DM me an order number so I can see what went wrong? Cheers! RD :-)

        DM sent

  • Excited to try the Pinot gris.. do you have any rose coming soon?

Hello @Da dpG. Simple qnaswer is yes, the rose sold out a bit too quick last time - surprised us! Coming soon. Cheers RD :-)

Will the Bec Hardy SA Shiraz 2019 taste like $17 bottles?

    • It'll be a bloody good value for money drop - a wine Bec and I are happy to put our names to as small, premium wine producers. As the description reads, find me another wine on OzBargain reviewed by a Master of Wine. As anyone who had previously ordered the Lakeside Shiraz, I'm sure they'll endorse the price to quality ratio. Cheers! RD :-)

  • Quite a decent deal, there's a number of good wine deals around at the minute. There's some ripper deals here https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/575657

    • Lots of good deals around. They've not received endorsement by a Master of Wine though have they? ;-)
Remember, buying from Bec Hardy Wines you're supporting a small, family producer, not a major corporate. Cheers RD:-)

I really loved the Lakeside SA Cab Sav and Shiraz from 2018 so grabbing myself more of the Lakeside Cab Sav 2019 and the Bec Hardy SA Shiraz. I've already gone through most of the whites from last tasting dozen but I must say that the reds are really enjoyable; they're a step above and well worth the price. Thanks again for these great deals, OP. I'm looking forward to receiving my order and having the rest of these through spring. Cheers.

    • Thanks for taking the time to provide such a lengthy post. Your comments are much appreciated by Bec and I. Cheers! RD :-)

I ordered the several boxes of wine from Richard and the team previously. The wine was great quality and at a great price point. I really enjoyed the 2017 Shiraz as well as the lakeside Shiraz, can sav and Pinot noir.

I had an issue with delivery (no fault of the winery) and it was resolved fantastically by Richard and the team.

I would highly recommend trying these if you haven’t already.

    • Hi @rollin, thanks so much for the wonderful review. Your words are much appreciated. It’s simply not enough for us to make great wines - Australia is lucky to be awash with great wine - but what sets wine brands apart is outstanding service delivery and the latter is as important to us as the former. Thanks again and thanks for your continued support of our family’s wines. Richard :-)

Hi Richard, Recently finished one dozen of the 2018 Meritage from a previous order which we enjoyed very much. Any plans for further deals on the Meritage, or can you suggest something equally good or similar please?

    • Hi @ifonly… if you get in really quick there are 10 doz only of what might be the last ever Meritage! Head to www.wineshedsale.com.au
Once it’s gone, it’s gone. After that, the Lakeside Cabernet will be the nearest to it. Cheers RD :-)

I placed an order for 6 the other week and they just arrived. I tasted it last night and I love them.
Went to use this code again but it says expired >.<
Are there any other coupons? I want to get some more :P

    • Hi @exprise. Thanks for the kind post. Hang off from purchasing until around 0930 ADL time today. We’ll be running a 72 hr Flash sale and reducing most pricing from where they are now. Or you can try the OZBARGAIN code we may not have suspended it just yet…. cheers RD :-)

Hi Richard, I have made 6 purchases from you this year - but I am not happy with my last order. If you look above you will see my interest on 30 October in buying another case of the 2018 Meritage (Geoff Hardy Wines). In your reply you advised me to "get in really quick", which is why, using your site's webchat, you arranged for someone to call me. I placed my order with your representative when they called, believing that I would receive the 2018 Meritage. However, today when I received my order it was NOT what I had ordered. The person I spoke to a few minutes ago was not particularly helpful, saying that there had been a misunderstanding and that I could simply return the 2019 Lakeside SA Red Meritage which is $20 less than I paid! Unfortunately this recent experience is not what I had enjoyed when purchasing from you previously.

Thanks for the note and sincere apologies for any confusion here.

After ten years running the Geoff Hardy business, Bec and I have acquired the vast majority of it back in July 2020. Details here -> https://bechardy.com.au/news/bec-hardy-wines-takes-over-owne…

I'm afraid we do not and have not since 1 July represented the wines of Geoff Hardy or any of his ancillary labels including GMH. Having looked back at the exchanges, on both the OzBargain board (above) and the transcript of your LiveChat session, there is no mention of GMH. At no time has the words GMH been posted or discussed. The term Meritage itself is a generic term for Bordeaux red blend. It simply did not occur to me that you would be talking of the Geoff Hardy GMH product and if you had I would have directed you to Bec's parents.

The advice to "get in quick" related to the fact I thought the team had already listed it and, as you found, it hadn't and there was only ever 10 doz left over from an export order to NZ. Had it have been listed at www.wineshesale.com.au you would have discovered at that point the misunderstanding. As always, when these things seem to occur, it is a compounding of events that create the environment for a misunderstanding.

At worst here there is a mutual misunderstanding for which we, of course, apologize and which I am happy to resolve by way of a refund of half of the cost of the wine you have received. I think that represents a fair and reasonable resolution and I have arranged for the money to be refunded to your credit card this morning.

If you would like to discuss further, please feel very welcome to call me direct on 0433 166 181.

      Cheers

      Richard

Thank you Richard. As discussed, your understanding of the mutual confusion and offer of a 50% refund is greatly appreciated. I will look forward to continuing to support your small, South Australian family wine business. :-)

Thanks Chris for your kind understanding, gracious reply and for calling to discuss. I appreciate that.
          Happy drinking!
          Stay safe.
          Richard :-)
