Is this better than first gen Xiaomi robo vac?
YMMV obviously, I got one and the whole family are huge fans.
I was comparing to the Gen1, i think the prime difference is that this one supports virtual walls and multiple maps, might have stronger suction too, but don't quote me on that cos i can't be bothered looking it up right now.
Reviews were excellent and my experience with it had matched. Other than maybe automatic bin emptying, I'm not sure what else one would want.Thanks mate. Bin emptying is the dream!
Does the quote 'multiple maps' mean multi-floor-level map?
Yeah - well that's what they tell me, it's a bit clunky to setup so I haven't actually done multi-floor yet, what I have done is screw around with the layout on a single floor and found it identifying it as a new map itself, when it doesn't find things where it expected them to be, so I can't see why multi-floor wouldn't work. It requires you to move the base along with it, which I guess is sort of reasonable and really, is the clunky part, but I'm thinking that after initial setup of the map you could probably just pick up and move the vacuum itself - it's pretty good at identifying where it's at when it's been moved around.
Not that impressed to be honest
Are these any good? How do they compare to the roborocks?
Choice only recommends xiaomi for hard floors
I recommend for soft floors.
I had iLife A4 that I gave to mum. Now have Gen 1 Xiaomi. Its ok, but a single side brush and VERY loud in comparison.
