I've seen some great sites / companys that make custom jigsaws from Google maps, however they informed me it's only usually in capital cities or bigger metro areas. I'm looking for a place that will make a 500 piece plus (preferably 1000 piece) jigsaw of the Google satelite image of a remote small town in the Northern Territory (their hometown). I'm finding it hard to get the right size and quality of image myself for the personalised upload-it-yourself puzzle makers like Zazzle, Red Bubble, etc.
Have you tried Googling for aerial maps? There's quite a few companies in that business, although I suspect they'd be charging a lot of money.
