How do you convert the power on the charger considering this comes from the US? Does a simple converter plug work?

What's proper about an aftermarket charger?
No RCM safety certification. Potentially dangerious. Also one reviewer said it doesn't even have insulated pins.
Been using it for a year and it hasn't burned the house down yet. I bought it because the American charger would spark when I used the travel adapter on it.

At this price, you'd have to go the Arc5! The only caveat would be how sensitive your skin is, as the Braun is renowned for being quite gentle vs the Arc5.
I have exactly the same. Not happy at all with it and going to send it back for a refund

One with clean dock and one without, both are previous gen arc5 series btw.
@monkp: Current gen arc5 does not shave better than this one as the motor/blades are the same. Also you can use the current gen replacement heads on this as they're backwards compatible.
@vicez: I think the lowest it's ever been was the 19th of July, saving USD$5 (about AUD$8), at least according to CamelCamelCamel.

The Panasonic Arc5 gives a better shave, the Braun 9 is more comfortable those with sensitive skin.
The Panasonic is easier to clean manually, so no real need for the cleaning dock. The Braun goes better with the dock because it's much harder to clean manually.
At this price point the Arc5 is much cheaper than the Braun 9, even the Braun 7, so unless you have really sensitive skin Panasonic is the way to go. More incentive to shave wet or use cream for more comfort as it's easier to clean than the Braun.
Can anybody comment on the lifespan of the foil/blade for the Panasonic? Replacement is $120-150, significantly more than the Braun. My Braun Series 5 is on it's last legs now and I'm looking at a replacement
