    It's a good piece of kit. Not 100% accurate as it assumes the grid voltage but it is still good enough. I run PVBeanCounter on an old laptop and it uploads to PVoutput.org 24/7. Good to see what's happening at home while I'm at work ;)

    Edit: Voucher appears to work on whatever kit is in the cart (except the bridge alone as pointed out below). So grab say the Solar monitoring kit for even greater savings off the individual components.

  depends on what you want to monitor. for measuring single devices a cheapo $20 energy meter will probably be more beneficial.

  Please note that despite what people say in other thread, you cannot just connect it to the lead in wire to the meter or fusebox, as it cannot go on the neutral wire due to the way it works. it measures gross current, not curent in a single direction, so it can only go on a single (isolated) current carrying wire, not a pair (power and neutral) or triple (power, neutral and earth). There are generally very few single power carrying wires that are not in the same outer sheath as the neutral wire, and these cancel out the reading.
  I have one and it works well though after the sparky installed it by locating a single wire hidden behind the fuses in the meterbox.

  Once the clamp is installed, setup of the display was very easy and it is useful.

  Be good if the "Bridge" was on special, annoying you can't view historical data without leaving your pc on 24/7, you used to be able to "upload history" via google power meter but that's been discontinued.. does anyone know if any other software has this option?

  I've got the Efergy version. Besides the monitoring, other handy uses - watch it to see when the oven has warmed up - how long it takes the hot water service to reheat after a shower (should be able to work out the cost of a shower from that)
