    • +2

      whats promo credit

      • Had it from a previous cancelled order

        • What did you get cancelled?

  • +1

Still 100+ units left, was 269 when I found about one hour ago and shared in whirlpool.

    • 54….

    • And yet OP only gets 22 up votes. The good ol' OznNinja's strike again. Happy to grab the bargains but can't show signs of appreciation to the OP.

      • +2

Well, I guess if someone did buy 10, they can only place one vote. Also, a BrickHawk alert went out.

        • +1

Good to see people are up voting still, even though it is OOS

  • +2

    thanks for sharing OP.

  • +1

thanks grab one. It was always in my Brickhawk list.

  • Thanks I just bought it all. Jks, but yeah good stuff it's finally available so easily.

  • 5' late and it is OOS now :(

    • I can order 30?

      • I can't order one.

      • OOS

    • 5 feet late? 🤔

      • The ' is also used to delineate minutes. Try again.

        • Only if you record the seconds too. Other wise that's 5 feet. 5" is inches.

  • Hey can anyone settle a bet - my mate thinks that I've been watching too much American pickers and that my lego boxes are worthless and I should bin them but I sorta think they could be worth something in 59 years time with the lego Intact?

    What should I do…

    • +6

They will be worth money, depending on what set's box. Some AFOLs are serious collectors and have cash to burn.

      • +1

Thanks mate. He owes me a burger haha.

        • Haha anytime. I watch the second hand market quite closely, if you want an example, currently Lego 70922 (joker manor) has its box priced from $9 to $29. Over the last 6 months the average sold price is $11.63 with 11 sales.

So in 50 years, who knows :P

  • Shocked to see they didn’t place a one per customer limit on this hard to find item.

  • Wow, hahahah missed again.

  • 27 mins in and I missed this. Hopefully someone didn't Broden this.

    • +4

Well… I notice that MyHobbies eBay all of a sudden has stock for 379. I think that's becoming a pattern.

      • Interesting - would be an absolute dog act if they are scalping from the major retailers. Do they have a rep who posts on here to deny?

  • Went to have a cup of tea and missed this, and I have been here all mornings……………..grrrrrrrr

    • +1

BrickHawk alerted me before OzB did. I recommend giving it a go.

      • Sadly alerts scalpers and brodens too :(

  • +3
    • Sure - if you wanted to dented to hell. Their packaging is abysmal

      • Just picked up mine from click and collect in Maddington WA. Box is perfectly wrapped in black sticky plastic thing

      • agree with the packaging. ordered one from kmart and it arrived today (shipping is really fast though). packaging is very minimal, the lego box is put inside a larger box with no bubble wrap/packing paper. luckily it still in good condition, box has a slight dent, but no big deal.

the best packaging so far is from myer and big w (never ordered lego from other stores, so can't comment on others)

    • But where? That's the problem with Kmart, you don't find out till checkout that there are none near you.

  • +6

If you look at Brickhawk, there is an update 5 mins ago for myhobbies eBay Store for $379. It was out of stock and now in stock. Coincident? Interesting.

    • +1

you reckon myhobbies are hogging all the stocks? Geezzz these guys are bad.

      • I would not be surprised if these ebay stores are buying up stock in readiness for Christmas. The timing is a factor, just my observation. Another user also made similar links.

        • In that case, I hope LEGO would continue to make these so they can keep their trees until a few years to come, LOL

          • @kurnitb: Just like what they did with Saturn V

        • Hmmm I messaged them on Social Media asking them if they would care to elaborate on these accusations ;)

          • @dahax77: It is a free market so there is nothing wrong with doing so. Just a better understanding why stock would be dropping so fast. I missed out on snagging one.

            • +1

@dhljac: Totally - but if they are buying in bulk from Ozbargain posts so others are missing out i'd like to at least make them squirm a bit that we are on to them!

              • +1

@dahax77: But that would not keep them from doing it again. The best we can do is not buy from /boycott them!

                • +2

@FrugalNotStingy: I think based on the price they are selling it for, no one would be buying it on this side of Christmas. As Ozbargain members, how shameful would it be to buy lego for over retail price when it could be had for under retail.

                  • +1

@dhljac: Because supplies of this set is uncertain, some Ozbargainers already are panicking and started to pay scalped (albeit minimally inflated) price for the set. I for one was ready to buy from scalpers if I didn’t see stock starting to appear again at random stores.

            • @dhljac: Is it a free market though?
What about declaring tax, honouring warranties etc?

              • +2

                @sam buster: Sam:
Let's not confuse terms, 'free market' does not mean no taxes or warranties.

It basically means unrestricted competition. They are allowed to buy it to resell just like we are.

                Dave77:
History on BrickHawk suggests they will sell it/them within about a day.

I started building mine today. It’s great because all stages are in smaller bags. You can do a bag in 15-20min, then come back later easier.

    Hopefully finish this weekend!

  • Tracking says "We’ll ship your order as soon as possible. This usually happens when an item doesn’t have a release date, it’s pre-ordered, or it’s out of stock."

Any chance that this gets cancelled or am I good?

    • Mine says Delivery Date Pending - we will email you once we have an estimated delivery date. At the time of ordering however it said delivery by this Friday 6th Nov. Maybe I just missed it by nanoseconds….

      • I ordered few other items on prime day and still showing no estimate delivery date, would be a long hold

    • +1

You'll be good. Its just on back order and when they get more stock, they'll ship out (unless its discontinued)

  • Argh missed out!

  • Arriving today
    Out for delivery

    and I am in WA.

  • When it was available how many could be bought from Amazon ?

    Normally 5 or 30 .

    • 200+ units

      • Could you buy max of 30 at a time ?

  • was in stock just now? Any one seen it?

    • I bought this deal a week or so ago and was put on back order, and just yesterday received the shipping notification.

So, Amazon has received stock, and perhaps put that new stock up for sale (and subsequently been ozbargained again)?

      • I only saw the admin marked a post duplicated but no notice from hawk and amazon itself. So I guess you are right. Too quick

        • I checked 11 minutes after that duplicate post went up and before it was marked as a dupe. It was already unavailable.

          • @tohsb: So actually ozbers beat the bots!

            • @qzcbmo: Who knows, maybe bots beat the bots. Bot Wars!

One side has Lego Treehouses. Another side has PS5's.

              • @tohsb: TBH I don't get the hype of the treehouse, what make it so special? Looks like it never had 20% off.

                • @qzcbmo: This particular IDEAS set looks like a good display set.

There was a guy on a Lego Facebook group that was selling them and he had a picture of at least 5 boxes if not more and people are probably buying them. What was even more astounding is that people were defending him as he was selling them for probably $300 and his defenders said he was a good seller as he has them in stock and it allows them to get it. So I'd say the Hype is also because of scalpers.

I think this is the second time this set has been discounted less than RRP. The first time was from Myer ages ago. This time it's KMart and Amazon and since then it hasn't gone less than retail.

To be honest, I've had heaps of chances to buy at RRP from the Online Lego store. But I try to look for the 20%. I missed out when I tried to buy from KMart deal recently and they stuffed my order and returned my money.

                  • @tohsb:

‘Nuff said. I plan to display mine on my work desk at home. It can also act as a desk plant without the need to water it lol.

I wasn’t interested in this set in the beginning and even ignored it when Myer ebay had it for $179 last year. The more I look at it online, the more I like it and I thought it would be the one that got away and was ready to buy from the scalpers for $300-$350 when it became hard to find.
