  • Pretty good price. Got my body for about 500 bucks at the start of 2019 with that Digidirect deal.

If the em-5 or em-1 also dropped!

Sucks that Olympus has exited the camera business.

Correction: The Olympus photography business has been sold. New owners, JIP, will be continuing with the Olympus brand name and business so Olympus gear will still be supported and new products are still on the horizon, though how well JIP runs the business remains to be seen.

      • Olympus photography business has been sold

        Transferred.

Olympus paid JIP to take it ( Not 100% sure)

will be continuing with the Olympus brand name

        To be determined

This is about the same price that I bought my E-M10 mk2 body so definitely a good price.

But the mk3 doesn't have any advantages for me over the mk2… I'll be waiting for the mk4 to drop in price.

For someone just starting out though and just wants the body to couple with something other than the kit lens, this is a good deal (unless it's action or wildlife photography you're doing… I'd go with the Panasonic G85/95 for the better continuous autofocus).

  • Do cameras still qualify for cash back? Apparently they are not eligible for ShopBack anymore.

    • You are right. Although it should be electronics which is 5% cash back, I looked further down and saw cameras being separated at 0%. Description updated.

  • Price has just dropped further to $442.57!

      $432.96

Price drop to $422.83. I will return mine and wait for Black Friday. $7 return charge but this is ridiculous

        • Wow, lowest price on record. I have not seen a seller dropping price that often and that quick (unless they started from RRP). I wonder if it will go sub 400 by Black Friday, stay tuned…

If i were to buy this, what is a good lens to get started?

The Olympus 12-45mm f4 PRO Lens would cover the most commonly used focal range. A current deal with 20% off here:

On a budget, there is a good deal for $150 Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 14-42mm II-R Lens. Look up on Amazon. OB web site does not let me post its direct link for some reason…

Price has just dropped to a crazy $406.55!

    • I think amazon is using usd to aud. aud has moved from ~70 to ~73. it might explain the daily drop.

  • Now $400.45! Let's see if it goes sub 400.

    • As predicted, price has gone down below 400, now $397.10. While I am on a roll, let's see if I can predict the next US president…

      • Wow, pretty decent deal + the $150 lens. Bit torn between this and Canon m50 though!

        • With this price I don't think you can get Canon m50, can't you?

          • @kampret: Yeah, not any more. Earlier this year, perhaps.

  • Googled the Amazon listing Item Model Number: V207040BA000 and results show the Mark 2 model?

Is anyone that ordered able to confirm that it is definitely Mark 3?

    • Good pick up. Amazon sometimes get their ads mixed up. So I contacted Amazon.

Me:https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B077WBNKYT , is it Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark III Camera? Item Model Number : V207040BA000 shows that it is Mark II Camera?
You are now connected to Habeeb Ahmed from Amazon.com.au
Habeeb Ahmed:Hello, My name is Habeeb. I'll be happy to help you.
Let me check these and get back to you in 2 mins
I've checked and see Olympus OM-D E-M10 Camera mark is III
Me:So is the description right and the Item model number incorrect? Or the other way round?
Habeeb Ahmed:Yes it was error is descriptor
      *in
      It was mark III
Me:Ok, if you are sure it is a MK III, I will make the order.
      Habeeb Ahmed:Yes sure.

  • When is it gonna stop dropping price? I don't want to buy now if it's gonna be cheaper tomorrow!

    • You just have to place your bet whether it will drop more or sold out :-)

      • Won't it give a warning when they are low on stock? for example the $150 lens you linked says 'only 5 left in stock'

  • +1

    378.99

  • I was about to pull the trigger before realizing it doesn't have an external audio input. Planning to upgrade my Sony a6000 for that reason.

  • $373.95 probably will be lowest, Aud is down today

  • In years of following ozbargain & shopping on amazon, I've literally never seen a sale like this that keeps dropping in small increments, multiple times a day

  • 365.90!!!

  • I'll just sit here waiting til it reaches $0

  • Just kidding, I bought it, couldn't bear waiting any longer in case I missed out. Thanks OP! Excited for my first interchangeable lens camera to arrive :)

  • +1

Holy *** half hour after I bought it at $365 it's back up to $397, thank goodness I pulled the trigger when I did
Snvl must be right, it's gotta be the currency exchange, can't see any reason for the price to bounce around otherwise

    • You timing is impeccable. Are you a shares trader? 😂

      • Perhaps I should be, that was quite the thrill, hahaha
