Red Energy Refer a Friend - $50 Coles/Myer Voucher

Hi

Is anyone a customer of red energy? I'm looking to join. A coles myer voucher for you and one for me :) Does anyone want to PM their red energy account number?

Alternatively I found another offer $100 if you switch suppliers (but T&C's state not for new connections only switching from existing address).

Using Switchwise, Red Energy came out to be one of the more expensive providers.

  • How is Red Energy rates compare to Momentum?

  • +1

It's really pretty simple. There's no "one's better than the other". Just grab a couple of recent power bills, make sure you know your meter tariff/type and use a couple of the less dishonest comparison sites to compare rates for your postcode and tariff. It's basic stuff.
    I'd suggest http://www.shoparound.com.au/Compare/Cheap-Electricity-Gas.a… and http://www.yourchoice.vic.gov.au (Vic).
Use a few because some are linked to and favour particular providers.
Don't worry about the "annual savings" figures they like to spew out or the ordering - just get the exact rates.
Once you've got the rates, go to the actual sites of the relevant power billers to check that the rates provided by the comparison site are correct and up to date.
Then put the top few contenders into a very basic spreadsheet based on your usage - and you'll soon see a bit of reality & clarity.
