  • Really good price. The only thing I'd be thinking is that's quite a big pack to be carrying, but it's not a proper hiking design. I'd prefer to wheel it and only carry it if I had to - or get a proper hiking pack so it's more comfy. Also the red gets black scuff marks in transit so I use a black transit bag once it's out of my sight in the airport (on my red 100 litre Shuttle wheeled bag).

    • Its a travel pack, but its not like there will be much traveling for the foreseeable future.

      Good price though.

    • It's quite lightweight at 1.7kg and looks neat, but that's it for its advantages when travelling.

  • I agree. To over simplify, it's a suitcase set with a harness - not a serious backpack. I either travel with a suitcase with wheels or one of my numerous Osprey hiking packs that suits the purpose of the travel. Osprey's Atmos is super comfy for big loads (around 70-80ltrs depending on the model) and I lived out of my Exos 38 traveliing/hiking for 2 months non-stop. Making that fit was a challenge. When I put my luggage through airports, I wrap in black garbage bag and tape to cover all the straps and open at the destination.

Oh actually I just saw the day pack can be front mounted, which balances you nicely while in transit. I think this could be good for the right person. Perhaps not me, but a young traveller could leave the main gear in the main pack in the hostel while day packing with the little pack. If it suits you, it's a great price anyway!

      • I don't get how this particular system of a big backpack with a small backpack is better than any big backpack with any small backpack.

You can attach the small pack to back of the big, or on the front on the straps.

Most of the larger travel packs have this built in, travel packs also have covers to protect the straps and what not during transit. If you are traveling with a hiking pack, you probably need a separate cover/bag instead.

  • Bummer I missed out on the 40l version, desperately want one :((
