    Did u guys see the statement from jb hifi on their Facebook?

    "Today we experienced unprecedented traffic to our website with thousands of PS5 orders every minute, resulting in our allocation of stock being exhausted before we could fully process all customer orders. We realise that this is disappointing for customers and acknowledge that this is not the sort of customer experience that JB Hi-Fi seeks to provide. PS5 stock is limited and in high demand around the world and while we do not anticipate any additional stock this year, we are working hard to try to secure more. We have no certainty of when this will be available but we will provide updates if and when they become available. We are also reviewing our processes so that we can provide better customer experiences in these situations in the future."

      why would you be worried. If you got one, you got one. this is addressing people who missed out due to website errors/crashes etc.

        Ahhh I did but I thought the wording “resulting in our allocation of stock being exhausted before we could fully process all customer orders” meant that they might cancel.

          Someone posted a comment on their FB “ I spoke with a representative from their sales line, they said they have been told if you recieved your confirmation email you were successful in purchasing.
          People who were not successful did not recieve a confirmation email, they recieved a cancellation email. Or just weren't able to check out.”

          So it should be all good mate

    Did Harvey Norman say an estimated delivery date for the digital? My cousin got one from them late this arvo but he reckons there was no estimated date which sounds odd. He probably just missed it.

    I suspect the units Target were allocated were instead handed over to Catch, considering there's many comments here about Catch having stock for a short time this afternoon.

        Could be - they're in the middle of the Click Frenzy promotion (ends tonight), so the last thing they want is their servers going down for the rest of their non-gaming customers while that's on. Maybe they'll upload their ps5 page tomorrow, after that promotion's done.

        disk is more cost conservative in the long run. i.e. you can just buy second hand games instead of paying full price. digital you only have one option, buy from sony.

        Yeah it tells me by 9pm on this Monday. "arriving Monday". Now the money is out of my account I'm not sure if I even wanted it that bad lol. I'm no scalper though, keen to play some games but I'm not sure if I can even afford to buy a game haha.

        I was hoping for big w or target so I could afterpay it, but I'll take a Monday delivery instead.

        Yeah, it looks like day 1 stock for Amazon is stuck between warehouse and being picked up. It could be the fact they are using signature on delivery, which would suggest a different carrier as AusPost don't do a signature on delivery being contactless deliveries.

        My order was yesterday at just past 9am with delivery date of 17-24 November - ie Amazon appeared to have stock at 9am when i ordered, some time between 9:00am and 9:03am, confirmation was at 9:05am via email. I was charged for the item at 1:06pm yesterday but no shipping confirmation yet still.

      It's tempting, if I sold it for 1500 which seems simple enough I'd essentially get a free Ps5, but I'm not a scumbag either. I think I'd have to sell it at cost or not at all. $750 profit is not enough for me to be total scum.

      classic HN being HN. They'll hold your money for as long as possible and not provide an estimated delivery date. They also have the worst customer support options available. No call centre - only live chat, but worst thing is they take hours to respond to their live chat.
