I have a hidden tow hitch that has a slight wobble in it when the receiver is installed. This hitch pin is designed to pull the hitch to one side, tightening both horizontal and vertical movement. They also have a locking mechanism on them so your hitch can't be stolen (if yours is removeable like mine).

Repco currently have a 30% off sale making this $28 (previously $40). Hopefully this isn't store-specific; I've checked a number around my area and the price is consistent.

    That's bizarre. The Victorian stores are all showing it as $28 I believe. I was in Mornington yesterday and it was previously $40 and has now dropped to $28 with the 30% off sale.

    Perhaps it's state specific? If it is I'll update the deal.

    I got mine fabricated in the same way. I have a vertical bike rack however that is rock solid in the hitch, but the hitch itself connects to the "drawbar" that is bolted onto the vehicle (for the lack of a better term), causing it to move slightly.

    If I was towing a trailer it wouldn't phase me, it's more the vertical bike rack movement that I wanted to address.

  A little cloth tape wrapped around the hitch before it goes into receiver and you'll never hear it again.
  You don't need a special hitch pin.
