I shucked mine from the last deal (at $315 ea). The USB ports are for charging ONLY, and don't act as a USB3 hub unfortunately.
Seem rather noisy when using, but a small price to pay for good speeds and $/Tb.
Yeah, it’s an enterprise 7200rpm drive so don’t expect it to be quiet! However, this should be rock solid when it comes to reliability.

Shucked it, contains a Enterprise drive, so far so good, it's not that noisy can barely hear it. There's a fantastic tutorial on YouTube before you buy/shuck watch it. Search for shuck WD Xbox game drive.
Immediate detection as external drive on pc prior to shucking Storage shows as 10 TB as windows uses a different method to count bytes than the manufacturer.
I'd say you need the right tools to shuck this, maybe pliers, Allan key, IC chip picker is not essential but could work. Precision tools kit, or normal screwdrivers.

The provided adapter is not an AU plug but an adaptor will work as it's dual voltage.
