How does this compared to the Ring offerings on Amazon?
If you think the delay is bad on Eufy, Ring will be a even bigger disappointment.
Is that a problem with every Ring generation?
Is there one that doesn’t have the delay issue? I’m eyeing the Ring 2020 version on Amazon right now. Seeing if it goes on sale during Black Friday.

+ if you buy the base unit combo, any additional eufy cams can use it pending compatibility, lowering the cost of upgrades.

- older ring models have a harder time charging the battery… every month!Personally I am holding out for the succcessfor to the eufy wired 2k. There is talk online that it addresses the delay issue. I can't believe that most reviews online do not raise this very glaring and impractical problem at all!
Heads up - "needs battery changed regularly" - On my wireless EUFY I am currently on 136 days (~4 months) at 37% battery. Looks like it'll be a recharge every 6 months which is great battery life IMO.

Same. I think it's great. Sure its slower than a wet week to load the image on my Alexa devices, but it's still damn handy and the battery life is super impressive
Once you get the Homebase with the Video Doorbell, can you just purchase additional cameras? Or is it better to purchase a camera and homebase kit and then an add on doorbell.

I returned mine. Look at the review on YouTube by lifehackster about the loudspeaker function…. the delay is so long that a conversation is very difficult and the saved clips cannot record the whole conversation. A firmware update to fix this was promised but hasn't arrived. As soon as I heard that the wired version is getting a newer model, I returned my wireless one.
