      Was unsure about this. Cheers.

    • +1

I'm glad someone put it like this.

I thought my browser or ad-blockers had broken the site and I was hesitant to unblock things because JB do love ads and trackers on their site.

    • +2
    • cheers

    • Did that - didn't get sent a code :(

      • +1

It's a generic code that's been added to the post description above.

    Jesus the exclusions.

    • +8

      Nothing unexpected there.

      • +3

Agree, it's mainly the regular suspects who like to set the prices their sellers can sell for. There's actually fewer than I would have expected.

    • +10

All the things that they make less than 11% on :)

    • +16

      Jesus

Nah he’s included in this sale

      • +4

Nothing wrong with a bit of early birthday shopping.

    • +4

      Jesus the exclusions.

Looking at the large number of products they sell, that exclusion list is pretty small.

      • +7

Yeah, don't let hyperbole and pitchfork-mob mentality get in the way of facts.

It's quite a small number of excluded items, mostly those which are subject to manufacturer/distributor sell-through rebates and/or razor-thin retail margins.

    • +3

You obviously have never seen eBay's eligible items then.

      • +1

        And the digiDirect 'storewide' discount

    • as in cant believe the exclusions are so few and straight forward? yeah i reckon!

  • +37

It's not storewide if there are exclusions..

    • Not sure I agree with that… storewide just means discounts across the store / categories.
I don't read store wide to mean "discounts across every item we sell"….
Gift cards are always an exclusion. Would love to see a "storewide" sale that doesn't have exclusions on gift cards :-)

      • +5

Yeah, calling it storewide seems completely fair. That list of exclusions isn't even that long IMO. I'd rather them call a sale storewide and list a handful of exclusions rather than them listing all the categories it applies to. I mean.. obviously this is the better option.

    • +5

It's better than that bike store that had a store wide sale excluding bikes.

      • It's better than that bike store that had a store wide sale excluding bikes.

If you're a cyclist you'd totally understand it. You buy a bike once and keep it for 5-10 years. In that 5-10 years, you'd be buying things like helmets, clothing, bar tape, chains, wheels, tyres, tubes, tools, lube, bells, lights, maybe even a whole groupset. So if you already have a bike, it really doesn't matter if bikes aren't included in the sale.

        • And if you're not a cyclist looking to buy a bike you might be unhappy to find out the truth.

          • @Elyxar: If you're not a cyclist, you'd probably never have heard of Pushys and would just go to 99 Bikes instead. :)

Don't expect the cards to deliver in time for the promotion though…

      • TCN would if you're ok with Google pay.

  • +9

$889.11 outright for a recently-released Pixel 5 isn't a bad deal, especially if you can stack it with discounted gift cards. Might keep this in mind for next year though.

Also for anyone curious like I was, their current catalog ends tonight, so you can't stack this with the currently displayed deals.

    • +3

Question is, will it be cheaper during Black Friday sales this month?

      • Hmmm true. Black Friday Pixel deals are a bit of a meme on Reddit since it's so soon after release, but Pixels don't really go on sale very much here, so this "store-wide" deal might be the better bet. I'm taking notes either way :P

        • +2

I just went back to look at the 2019 Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals at JB Hi Fi and the Pixel 4 64gb was $150 off. Granted that phone was $1049 outright.

          • +2

@WorkingLowJam: 11% off combined with 5% off gift cards if you can get them isn't bad.

            • @uder: How do you get 5%off giftcards?

              • @Phongie: Suncorp, HCF offer them.

                • @uder: Any idea how quick the suncorp ones are? There is a warning it could take 72 hours, which is longer than the sale!

                  • +2

@md333: Instant from my experience if you have the suncorp rewards app

          • @WorkingLowJam: Oh I also went back to look and didn't see that one, good find, I guess there's still hope!

    • * correction on the catalog: one of them ends tonight, but the others end on the 11th (presumably midnight) so possibly some decent deals to be had there if it stacks ok. Galaxy Watch 3 45mm BT for $488.61?

      • If a product ends tonight, then you can still apply the code from 9pm till midnight to stack the discount right?

        • +1

Sorry if I wasn't clear - that was "tonight" as in "last night" on the 9th. Most of the deals on their front page were laptops and phones which were in the outgoing catalog (now finished). The smartwatch and smart home catalogs are around until tomorrow so should be fine.

  • +2

Makes the 55 inch Ffalcon extra cheap

    • It's back at 699

      • Dam was still $499 yesterday would be the specials changeover.

  • +1

Won’t work on anything for the PS5 cos they release on 12th? :(

    • +1

      Works on the PS4

      • +1

        Excludes game consoles

      • Excludes: … Games Consoles

    • +2

Can get PS4 games though, like Dirt 5 which is getting a free PS5 upgrade on launch.

      • Yep, nothing for the PS5 at all cos the controller, remote, games all release on the 12th….it’s probably what JB intended.

  • 8 PM? I need it tomorrow at lunch time!

  • Assume it doesnt include price beat to competitors

    • +1

One or the other.. not both. But why not go to a competitor to price beat JB with the 11%? Although its coupon based… so that will prevent some price match conditions..

    • +2

It worked for me - called them on their sales line and they sent me a link via mobile to complete checkout online (which allows you to enter the coupon)

      • Just came to say thanks for pointing out this tip/trick worked a treat and saved me some $$ on early xmas shopping!

  • -7

Storewide…yet half of the items (if not more) in-store are excluded
I am Googling what storewide means now…

    • +3

Storewide…yet half of the items (if not more) in-store are excluded

Excludes: Apple Products, Games Consoles, Microsoft branded Xbox accessories and games, Dyson, Mobile Contracts, Miele & Asko agency products, Dell Built to Order, Pre-Paid Cards & Gift Cards, Pre-Orders, Extended Warranties, & Delivery.

Apple products, games consoles, Dyson/Miele/Asko, Dell, prepaid/gift cards. That'd be like what, 50 products? Does JB only sell 100 products in store?

How do I get the code?

You need to know the secret knock.

      • -1

Can we pay with discounted giftcard to bring the outpocket cost further down?
Suncorp rewards is selling 5% off JB Giftcard from my understanding

    • +1

Yes that will work. Gift card is always accepted as a valid form of payment at JB.

  • -1

    What to buy?

  • +4

Microsoft branded Xbox accessories and games

Love how they added this purely cause the Series x launches tomorrow and they know people will be buying games for it.

    • +1

    Osmo pocket 2, looking good.

New Chromecast with Google TV should be $88?

    https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/google-chromecast-with-go…

    • Haha you submitted this as I was getting the link, fingers crossed 🤞

    • If you are after the Chromecast with Google TV, I think this this deal is better if you are able to utilise the netflix credit that they are providing. May be a bit of a wait though for arrival - ordered yesterday with deliver in first week of December. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/569685

      • +2

Possibly - depends if you already have Netflix, and how you're paying - eg: that Netflix credit can't be used if you're paying via an overseas country, so you're better off buying the device outright and continuing to get super-cheap Netflix:

        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/566367

  • Will we be able to use it on the new Chromecast with Google TV? Doesn't seem to be in the listed exclusions :)

    https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/google-chromecast-with-go…

  • Nice, I'll be able to pick-up my PS4/PS5 copy of Dirt 5 for about $70 on launch day. Thanks for the heads up OP.

  • Anything good?

  • +1

The Logitech MX Keys and MX Keys for Mac will both be $177.11, or $168.25 stacked with a 5%-off gift card. Not a stellar price, but still pretty good for JB.

    • what's the diff between the standard and the Mac version?

      • +1

        The key layout.

        • This ^^

The Mac version has Mac-specific keys on it and Mac OS legends printed on the keys, whereas the standard version has a normal 104-key layout and legends for both Windows and Mac. Note that both with work equally well with any operating system.

  • +1

Where do I get this discount code from?

    • +1

Sign up to their Special Offers mailing list and it should arrive from 8pm tonight.

  • If I want to price match a TV with The Good Guys price, will JBHIFI apply 11% to the matched price in Store? Any clue?

    • +1

Of course not… Too good to be realistic…

    • It worked for me - called them on their sales line and they sent me a link via mobile to complete checkout online (which allows you to enter the coupon). It wasn't instore but does it really matter.

  • Is DJI MAVIC AIR 2 4K Drone included ?

    • Hoping it is. Would like to pick it up with the sale and few discounted Giftcard’s.

  • What's the discount code?

  • Hoping I can get OW to price beat JB on the R5 🤔

    • Not if you need a coupon to get the discount.

    • +1

      ???

The go to deal already links to that?

How will I get the coupon code?

    • +1

      The JB website states

Keep an eye out for your discount code from 8pm Wednesday 10th November

The code should be emailed to you after 8pm on Tuesday 10 November for use on Wednesday 11th November, provided you’ve signed up to their special deals emails.

      • Where do we sign up to these emails can't see anything?

        • +1

Go to the link in the OP and scroll down. Near the bottom of the page there’s a yellow section with a “sign up for special offers” box where you can chuck your email,

          • +1

            @agentsmith: Legend thanks.

  • +1

New Yakuza game on PS4 would be $66.89 after this deal and using Suncorp giftcards hmmm tempting.

    • That was also the first thing I tried, but it's not allowing me to apply the coupon in the cart, so I guess it doesn't work for some reason.

      • but it's not allowing me to apply the coupon

        Xbox ver.?
