  • I don't think you can preorder from the Xbox website anymore? They seem to have a list of local retailers instead

    • +2

Which includes, Jb Hifi and The good guys I think

      • +1

        Oh of course, sorry!

  • No Him / Her / Home Gift Cards on my Union Shopper, might depend on the Union? I'm not sure..

    • Try through the links in description?

    • Scratch that, found them.

    • Can confirm, my one doesn't seem to have the Him/Her/Home cards. Have looked through the whole list and they're not there, and the links from the OP simply redirect to the homepage.

      • +1

Try this link after logging in

        https://unionshopper.ambassadorcard.com.au/index.php

Don’t think they are union specific as I don’t see how they would achieve it from that link and Beercrisp did eventually found them.

        • Thanks, I appreciate your efforts — I tried your link and it just redirected me straight to the homepage again, but then I followed DrgnStar's exact instructions below and it finally worked! Seems the ambassadorcard URL must be dependent on a certain cookie being set before it allows you access.

  • -8

did they just assume my gender? or my living situation?

  • So these wouldn't be eligible for in-store use? After a new TV for black Friday and not sure if this will help or make things worse.

    • They are eligible in store as well. See linked eligible retailer "How to use" section.

  • Can I use multiple HIS cards to shop in JB HIFI, like buy a laptop? thanks

    • +1

      You should be able to

  • -1

Dammit, not part of a union. If anyone is and wants to help me out, would be greatly appreciated!

    • -1

      Same here!

    • +8

      Join your union, scab.

      • +9

Some of us don't have unions to join :)

@ccrap: Sue union super for discrimination then!

            • @ccrap: Call Australian Unions on 1300 486 466 to find the right union for you.

              • +4

@deme: So much for this comment then:

What's your job? I'll find the union for you.

Haha no point calling them mate, there are no unions for lawyers and there’s a reason for that. There are a few more professions that don’t have unions as well. Was just backing up songsong’s comment :)

      • I was in my previous job, but in my current one I'm not sure there is one. Have never been approached for one or heard anything about it. I think they are very valuable, and totally would be in one. I'm making a decent purchase at JB soon, so was just trying to get some discounted gift cards.

  • Any free unions to join?

    • +6

My union have a weekly fee about $10. I treat it just like a insurance, so if something bad happens, they will help you out.

      • Which union is that?

  • rip not part of a union. can someone help me out pwetty pwease

    • +2

      UwU… no.

    • +10

The union members already are helping you out.

      • +3

        thnx union members!

  • Monthly maximum of $1,000 is pretty disappointing

    • +10

Get two different types of gift cards, such as Him and Her both work at Jb HiFi

  • Can you use these doing online orders on JB Hifi? I've used JB hifi gift cards before on their website but never used these

    • +2

      Yes you can

  • 1% cc payment fee as well

    • +1

      Free with EFT as well

  • Could these be used on JB hi-fi for iPhone 12 pre orders?
And is there a maximum amount or giftcards in one transaction that can be redeemed km JB hi-fi

    • I think you can

    • Ive heard from another Ozb user that 5 gift cards online max and 8 in store.

      • +4

Use 5x$100 cards to buy 1x$500gc on JB HiFi website.

        • How do you do this?
Do you need to convert the 5x$100 TCN cards first to 5xJB HIFI cards and then convert these into 1 x $500 gift card or can you do it directly on JBHIFI

          • @kdsauer: I have no experience with TCN. But it you have 5x$100jb vouchers, you can use them to pay for 1x$500 voucher on the JB website.

    • max 5 online

    • +1

Called a JB rep and he said there shouldn't be any limit to the amount of gift cards you can use, regardless of online or in-store.

    • +1

      I used 7 on a Pixel 5 preorder online

      • +1

        Amazing

  • Can you buy 5 x $100HIM gift cards and then convert into a $500 JB hifi gift card?

    • +1

      Should be able to

  • +4

For those struggling to find the link, and the above links not working:
    1. Sign in
    2. Click on 'Gift Cards'
    3. Click in the banner the red 'Click to see all gift cards'
    4. Click 'Egift cards' on the site that opens up.
    5. They should be listed there!

    • works

    • You're the real MVP! Thank you!

  • Cool deal, but why are these cards unnecessarily gendered? Why can't dudes shop at H&M? What about the ladies shopping at Xbox and Surfstitch?

    • +1

What percentage of purchases at xbox.com are made my males do you think? 50/50?

It's a nice little selection of stores that would make a suitable gift for plenty of people of that gender.

Stop making issues out of things that aren't issues.

      • +4

I'm a dude and shop at H&M all the time?

I'm not trying to make an 'issue' out of it. But why bother with having gender as part of it at all, and say 'you shop here, but you shop there'. The Xbox one to me only seems to reinforce that women can't be gamers.

        • +3

I agree with you, it's a totally arbitrary way of categorising things.

          • +1

@alcadive: I reckon it's just a simple marketing thing, to try and get you to buy more cards, as you'd feel bad giving the opposite card to the other gender. Say you've got a spare "For Him" card, but you need a gift for a lady? Well, you're shamed into getting a "For Her" gift card.

Net result, you buy another card… And they get another card sale racked up, just by labelling them 'for him / for her'.

  • +1

Guess my union doesn't participate in this deal? Couldn't find it in the list ☹️

  • Is the 10% off on going? If not, when does it end? Thanks!

    • +2

      On going at the moment

  • +8

For those who don't have access to the union stuff, you can also get these 10% off deals through AGL Rewards.

JB Hifi is a retailer for the Home, Him, Her and Kids cards so you can get up to $4k per month. Good if you're chasing a new TV or some iPhone 12's.

    • is it 1000$ per month for each gift card type? or total at union shopper??

      • +1

Each gift card type. I just got $1000 Him cards and $1000 Home cards (two transactions though).

        • sweet! have you ordered from them before? i only spent 100$ to check their legitimacy and delivery times
if you have used them before and can vouch that they are legit and dont take forever to send the eGift cards, i might just bite the bullet and grab 2k worth as well (iphone 12 pro max coming in hot)

          • +1

@aayushapatel: I trust Union Shopper and TCN is legit. Can't really go wrong, I'm not in a major rush for the gift cards so idm, but I can't see it taking longer than 3 business days anyway.

EDIT: They have all just arrived in my inbox!

            • @BeerCrisp: what's the largest denomination for the him and Home gc?

              • +2

@skido: Do you mean max value of each card? If so, $100, I have one email with 10 $100 Him cards and one email with 10 $100 Home cards. For a $2k TV purchase at JB

    • Oh really! Nice. So currently agl rewards have 10% off? I’ve never looked at the agl rewards website so new to this.

      • Correct. It takes you to the same website as Union Shopper in the end. Money even goes into the same bank account so I guess it's all just a white label for The Card Network.

Not sure if it's always been 10%. I didn't know they included JB Hifi until this deal came up so never looked at the % off.

        • -1

i think the HIM card on AGL are different to the Ultimate for HIM. the agl ones dont have JBHIFI in them

          • +1

@Jit0809: What do you mean? What is the giftcard called for AGL that allows you to spend it at JB?

          • @Jit0809: its the Home Card

          • +3

@Jit0809: Thanks for giving me a stroke Jit0809. When I read "the agl ones dont have JBHIFI in them" I panicked hard since I am now the proud owner of over $4k worth.

False alarm. The Home/Him/Her/Kids cards from AGL Rewards definitely include JB Hifi and I have screenshots… they're just not listed on the main page. You need to click through to see all the retailers.

    • AGL rewards has 5% off jbhifi and isn’t included within the Home, Him, Her retailers, so they must be slightly different.

  • How this work? Are they normal e-gift cards (barcode + pin) that can be used on JB HiFi and GoodGuys sites? Thanks

    • They can be used online

    • The Him/Her gift card - link to Her

      How to Use

Select your preferred retailer to see how to use your gift card.

      JB Hi-Fi

Can be used Instore or Online

      To Redeem Online

To use your card online simply swap your gift card for a JB Hi-Fi gift card. Fill out your details and select your denomination - $30, $50 or $100 on the next page and your JB Hi-Fi gift card will be sent to your nominated email address. Once the swap has been completed the selected amount will be removed from your physical gift card.

      • Is that mean the HIM/HER Gift cards has to be used to purchase JB gift card and cannot purchase goods directly via JB online?

        • +3

So when you get the cards, there is a redemption link, click the link, type the card details in and it will give you an option to keep it as a Home / Him / Her gift card which can only be used in store. Or, you can transfer it to a specific gift card of any of the selected retailers, which can be used online and in-store.

  • Just bought a trial $100 to test how they work, they said upto 3 business days for delivery of egift cards
Once people get their cards, can they let us know how long it took for people to receive theirs?

  • This almost makes it worth joining my union…

  • Does anyone know if these cards can be used at the Good Guys Commercial website?
Some unions (mine included) also get you access to Good Guys Commercial too.

    • +1

Can't use any sort of gift card with Good Guys Commercial sadly, though you can try and see if they will match their commercial price in store. Or JB have also been known to match Good Guys Commercial prices.

  • Has anyone purchased and received? how long did it take?

    • Took 15 minutes for mine to arrive. Received a call straight away to confirm it was me that had purchased.

      • hey mate, I assume you paid by credit card right? I think ET takes up to 3 days to receive the e card.
also, did the Union Shopper called you to confirm or your bank ?

        • Gift card company 'The Ambassador Card' called me to confirm. Yes, paid with credit card.

          • @BeerCrisp: oh, ok, so they just asked if you placed the order? did they ask your union membership no or email address to verify? thank you

            • @mapletian: Nah not at all, just asked did you place this order, I said yes and they said okay just confirming.

  • +1

Have purchased $900 TGG e-GC this morning. could have saved $45.

  • Anyone know where I can get JBHIFI or TCN cards using an Amex card? Doesn’t have to be 10% but a discount would be good.
