    I just wash mine one every couple of weeks and pull it apart and pull anything from inside it when its wet.
    Make sure you take the top off the filters (3 clips) and cleen inside and not just wash it.
    Manual doesnt really explain that too well.

      I figured out that you can remove the top last night, so much easier to clean and it gets more of the crap out.

    On my V7, the rear filter doesn't seem to come off. Nothing is mentioned in the manual either.

    ever changed the filter on Dyson. Lasts as long as the vacuum itself, you just wash it.
    It is washable for good reason so you can re-use it, instead of buying and throwing your old filters in the trash.
