Still has that wipes from previous $1 sale lol..

  • +8

How do I say this without offending eBay, but this is just desperate.

    • +5

Infinitely better than what we were faced with this week.

      • +4

        Not enjoying your curls?

        • +1

Turns out they're not flattering on short hair. 😔

    • +5

All useful items though. I'll definitely try and grab some if I remember.

    • +3

ebay has stuffed up big time.
They're doing this to bolster up the ebay plus idea..
It's a major moneymaking flop, they are desperate to keep it afloat.

  • Better than last week for sure.

  • +16

Bring back 20% sitewide and we will talk.

    • ebay cant talk, they are a website not human

    • +1

      Maybe on Black Friday…

    • No way that will happen lol it was cool when it was the eBay Birthday sales sitewide… Those were the days 😥

  • -3

Be careful with the baby wipes. I picked them up for $12 at the last sales only to realise they were cheap European knockoffs. Now using them in place if disinfectant wipes !

    • +4

Not sure what you mean. It's Huggies, a very known brand. This looks to be the same ones sold by Kmart. We've used them and they are fine.

      • Agree

      • +2

Reject shop has similar things, branded but clearly not Australian standard stock, could be what they mean

    • Knockoffs can't be trusted. It's like the $1 lollies from thailand that tastes off.

  • +3

Have had eBay plus for about 6 months now.
Never been able to grab anything that was remotely in demand from these sales. They are gone in less than a second.
    Won't be renewing.
If I wanted a shit show everytime I'd just get on click frenzy for free and try my luck instead.

    • +1

ebay plus hasn't been good for most of its life i.e. the past 2 years. Not sure why you paid up for it as the reviews stating this have been around for a long time.

      • +1

I hate myself so much for forgetting to cancel my trial… What a waste of $49…

        • +1

It took $49 via PayPal when I missed my reminder to cancel and I lodged a claim to PayPal as the transaction being unintentional and that I didn't want to pay Ebay for it. Got full refund.

  • +8

    C U Next Tuesday

  • I do rate the Mater nappies, will try and get some.

    • -1

We tried them as a friend of mine told me they were good.
We found them terrible as consistently leaking

  • -6

Most people never get any item they want and still hoping have a chance to get anything I called those people and the company monkey show, too much monekys but no banana.Get a job and get a life avoid these kind of "bargain" and stop dreaming and wasting time.

    • +1

      Umm what?

    • I think save your dollar and buy a Snickers instead.

    • +2

      get a life

Says the person who wasted their time writing an incoherent post riddled with grammatical errors.

  • Cheers OP, very useful items this time.

  • Will there be a coupon code?

    • Yes same as last 2 weeks. It’s how they limit to 2 per account

      • Cool thanks!

      • Where do you get the code from? Is it emailed?

  • Not sure about the others but the link to the Mater Nappies shows only 43 in stock right now, doubt there will be 600 left next Tuesday???

EDIT: and baby wipes show only 94…

  • Thanks

  • Are these offers generally achievable?

    • +1

Nope. They run out in 10 seconds max. It's like a lucky draw.

      • Thanks, I'll pass then.

        • They've lasted up to an hour in the preceded two weeks. It's not like the earpods.

    • -1

last week $1 was easy.. and the items were restocked few times throughout the day

    • These aren’t difficult. They’re quite easy. The $1 sunglasses last week (and others) lasted for maybe 30 minutes. I expect the same with these - but try get on it at 10am.

  • anyone got the $50 gift card ebay plus renewal offer via sms lately? pretty cool now.. Instant $50 voucher to spend on anything within 30 days of renewal.

    • +6

Be careful, $50 voucher is one time use only. Even you buy a $1 item, it prompts you to use it. You'll end up losing $49 balance if you do so on Tuesday.

It is not a giftcard. Voucher≠Giftcard.

      • Yes but you can use that voucher to buy a giftcard. Weird (or flawed?) system.

        • No, I just tried to buy an eBay giftcard and was denied.

        • Yes, I bought a gift card using the voucher and used it slowly whenever its required …
          It Works …

          • @GDayStraya: U wanna share the link?

            • @neo335: It must be from a private seller who intentionally listed in the wrong category.

              • @Neoika: It took me 30 mins to receive the digital gift card … I received the gift card from paypal digital gifts. From a genuine email ID "[email protected]".

Seems like that seller sells only gift cards.

              • @GDayStraya: It wont work now. The voucher does not appear at the checkout. Even you copy/paste to add it, it says no.

When did you buy it successfully last time?

                • @Neoika: Around 4 months ago .. It wasn't a very recent one … So maybe they changed the policy …

Did you try it recently ??

  • Here we go again

any deals on eBay plus membership itself?

  • My Plus membership expires tomorrow. Just went through the cancelation and got the free $30 gift card to sign up for another year. Better be some good $1 items!

    • +1

My membership expired 4 days ago and just got an email today offering another $50 voucher if I sign up again, just like the one I have originally signed up under.

    • it's not free. You paid $49 but only got $30 back.
      ebay+ membership doesn't worth a cent.

      • Free shipping and the odd $5 code make it worthwhile imo, depends on how much you buy off ebay each year.

        • $30 is the same one time use only as $50, no remaining balance left.

Maybe you can still cancel the membership and re-sign up to get both.

          • +2

@Neoika: When I got my $30 it was a gift card. Not a voucher. That was a couple of months ago. Not sure if it's changed since.

            • @djlee: You are right. I just check the deal here and it is indeed a giftcard. But generally, a $50 one time use voucher is better than a multiple use $30 giftcard.

      • +1

I think it is alright with the 30/50 gift cards. I dont mind paying $20 a year for these $1 deals/airpods lotteries/$5 vouchers/free express shipping. Although Amazon Prime is certainly more useful for actual shoppings.

        • +1

30/50 is voucher, one time use only, no remaining balance left, definitely inferior to 30/50 giftcard.

It is the CATCH eBay set up here to screw up unconscious buyers, funding the $1 sale.

          • @Neoika: You can use that 30/50 voucher to buy a 30/50 gift card, at least it used to work that way. I have yet to receive the new $50 voucher this time so hopefully it is still the same.

            • @truetypezk: It wont work now. I just got the $50 voucher and tried. I even tried on eBay US, nowhere to get around.

              • +1

@Neoika: Yep same here unfortunately:( But at least the voucher code is instant this time round.

  • -7

Don't bother unless you have nothing else better to do with your time than sit in front of the computer and refreshing the screen until the sale starts, hoping you score something before stock runs out in 30 sec. Also there is 95% chance the website will crash on you every time you try to check out

If you can put up with all that with the off chance you get to buy something, yeah it's a good deal

    • -2

      Ok Boomer

    • You clearly haven't been paying attention to these deals over the last 2 weeks. None of what you've suggested has occurred, in fact many of the items have lasted over an hour.

  • So does the code just appear on the ebay homepage banner?

    • +1

Normally it appears on the items page

  • so, put the item to the cart and get ready to paste the code at 10am?

  • what's to stop us buying the item now, waiting for code at 10am to enter? guaranteed right?
edit: ah some have turned off buy it now and it only adds to cart

  • Who would have thought, Daily Mail bringing actual news article.

    • Titles haven't changed though

From $1 nappies and other essentials to $20% off selected drinks: Here are the insane eBay deals you NEED to know about now

Yes $20% for all their high IQ readers.

  • +1

    PPFM69

  • Can anyone share the link to the page of the deals for today

  • +2

"Looks like that's the wrong code. Please double-check and try again."

  • +1

Yep - got one of the Finish powerballs. Use code PPFM69 to drop price to $1

  • worked for dishwasher tablets

  • +1

I actually got some baby wipes. First time for everything.

  • Yep, worked for me!

  • +2

PPFM69 works on dishwasher tablet but not the laundry one

  • I thought I was toast but got the item in the end. Forgot I had 2FA enabled and had to log in.

  • Cheers OP, got the dishwashing tablets and laundry capsules. :)

  • +1

awesome got some wipes and Finish Powerball. Makes up for forgetting to cancel my Ebay Plus!
