      I have the Kogan one (dammit, I paid $89 for it) and can confirm that it works great.

      Note that the sensor is only compatible with sectional doors but it is easier to install (just stick it on the door, no wires needed for the sensor) than the other type Amazon sells.

        Does the Kogan one have an option to send a notification after set number if minutes if garage door was left opened.
        Any issues with the Kogan one?
        Trying to decide between Kogan and meross.

      All such devices connect to a remote server unless you update the firmware with an open source one. This means that they can open or close your garage door if they want to.

        I have one of these, you can actually set it up so the remote connection goes locally via your own router with a port forward. So then it doesnt communicate via their Servers.

    What’s the difference between this and the Meross one, which is working perfectly for me at half the sale price of this.

      One thing I've noticed from the description that is different is that you can share keys with this one. I don't think the Meross has this feature.

        I see potential risk with doing this. You share the keys, a drunk friends shares it with their mates. Soon everyone has access to your garage.

    I take it this does not have a sensor if the door is open or closed?

    Eg, if the garage door gets stuck or hits something and goes back up whilst closing this device will not detect it right?

    Only neg about it is that google opens it when I open my blinds.

          If I put the word light into the name of my tuya swart switches Google Home groups them with other actual lights.

    Remootio have auto open function. When you back home from outside, the garage door will automatic open for you. Not sure the kogan and Amazon one have the auto open function or not. Come with au plug.
