Panasonic KX-HN6032AZW Home Control Kit $57.50 (Was $230) @ Myer

50

Saw that these goodies are included in the take a further 75% off the ticketed price of electricals in store. Bought the last two in Werribee.

Thought it might be something worth checking out in store or give a ring.

    What is that?

No idea what it is but excited to see what my brain comes up with to convince myself that I "need it".

Glad I'm not the only one 😂

      • It’s for home automation
If your home has home automation then these will work

What is this "75% off electrical" deal?

  • 4 smart plugs
    2 door sensors
    2 motion sensors
1 unit hub to control everything

    • Zig bee?

      • The different smart sensors say DECT: 1.88 GHz - 1.90 GHz, so this looks pretty Panasonic proprietary kit. Not Zigbee or ZWave.

Looks like something that was hi-tech about 8 years ago

    • Looks like something Telstra would re-badge and rename everything as if they are marketing to a six-year-old

  • So I am guessing this will not work with Google Home?

    Wow…it's in product archives…..

    Long Range DECT Technology.

Last time I saw this was on my cordless home phone ten years ago. How is this still for sale?

  • Looks like a real dud … checkout the reviews on Amazon ,,, https://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-KX-HNB600W-Smart-Monitoring… for example …

    " Cons:
    - Poor camera video quality
    - Camera thumbnails slow to load (internet at home is fiberoptic, not the issue)
    - Must have been designed 15 years ago. Connects to an RJ-11 "landline" phone jack but apparently not to the modern IoT cloud. Panasonic, ever heard of:
    • Amazon Echo?
    • IFTTT?
    • Google Home?
    • SmartThings? "

  • This stuff was cutting edge in 1997

  • Myer can keep it. Pfft was $230. Referring to price 10 years ago!
