Solid price, a lot of people @ head fi are grabbing these as some missed out on the $95 Ulitmate Ears TF10 deal…

    • Oh feck, when was that?

      • It was on Amazon around 7am - 9:30am Sydney time this morning… I woke up at 9:45am and saw the price… tried to add to cart but just a tad late… sigh

That said you would have to use a shipping forwarder as Amazon didn't ship them directly to Australia, which means you've got to pay $30-$40 on top. At $130 it was still an amazing deal!

        • Ahh massive bummer. I would've jumped onto the TF10's without a thought. I'm more tentative about these X10's.

        • You can still add that to cart I think, and you don't need to use shipping forwarder this time, Amazon is shipping this one to Aus directly, just pay US$8.48.
Just paid in USD to avoid Amazon's ripoff exchange rate (1USD = 1.0730920163AUD, Mastercard is quoting 1.034340AUD), it works out to be AU$106.98 + any foreign transaction cost from your bank ($0 in my case)

Yeh that is a bonus of purchasing the X10's over the TF10. But I already own Sennheiser IE8's and, in my opinion, would trump over the X10's in what they do well (excellent lows and sounstage).

I just want the TF10's for a different sound and wanted to test out triple BA's =[

        • Was camping Amazon the whole night until 7am Perth time, and managed to snag a set of TF10's :D Used Shipito for forwarding, hope all goes well. And yeah, Amazon's exchange rate is a total rip.

        • Gees, a true OzBargainer! I would have slept and just paid the extra $60 from LTS.

        • A ship forwarder isn't going to cost $30-40, since you can use the cheapest shipping option given the size of these.

Some guy said he bought 10 pairs, which is a bit dodge.

I picked up two pairs of the TFs.

  • is this deal on all day or is it like the other hourly deals where they only have x amount of this stock for claiming and once gone, the deal is over?

    • Could be part of their Black Friday sale.

  • This worth the extra $12 over the UE 700's from LogitechShop?

    • yea

      • Took your word for it…

  • Normally US$350! Bargain!

  • these look like they'd stick out of your ears wayyyy too much

    • Probably no more than the TF10 without the flip mod

  • sold out!

  • bought my pair. and system shows sold out right after…
    lucky me

    • Lucky me too, bought them on a whim about an hour ago…

  • Says in stock - 19 available, however $155.00

  • I have Klipsch Image S2 In-Ear and I must say the bass is very good and you don't get that feeling that you have had headphones on for ages, you barely feel them since they have some sort of patented design. I don't know what the difference between these are but Klipsch has good reviews everywhere. Buy Buy Buy while it's cheap!

Question for audiophiles here, how much better are expensive in-ear earphones than regular kind? I know there's a huge difference in quality for cans and over-ear headphones, but are these little things worth the money?

    • I wouldn't call myself an audiophile but I do have a number of pricey pieces of audio equipment.

Law of diminishing returns and these are relative cheap when you are talking about audiophile quality earphones.

I think once you hit the $200 price point and beyond the earphone choice comes down to personal preference on sound signature - unfortunately it is hard for us to demo units here.

However, if by "regular kind" you are referring to crappy apple buds then anything will beat them. There is definitely a significant difference between expensive in-ears and cheap stock standard ones, but there is also the consideration of going for top tier universals vs customs.

    • For performance per dollar, go cans. If you are looking for portability with uncompromising sound, be prepared to pay 400 dollars for the sound of sub 150 dollars can.

    • Cheers, I'll probably stick with cans.

  • Darnit really good price and missed it. FYI, www.earphonesolutions.com was having a Black Friday 25% off special with the code BLACK7 (unsure if still works) - excluding Klipsch, Beats and Grado. It is a good site to also learn more about in-ear, over ear, cheap etc.

  • Would these be any good for listening to podcasts?

Haha.. But seriously, what is the big attraction to them? I'd sooner get Dr Dre's in ears before these, as I said these look like in ear daggers.

    • rats…double posting..
