Description
Split-Beam Click Wrenches overcome many of the problems associated with micrometer-style clock wrenches in abusive environments. The wrench has few components, and all critical parts are welded together at assembly. There is no need to "work in" a C series torque wrench before using it the first time. Nor is it necessary to adjust to the lowest torque setting after use. Setting the tool requires only fingertip force since the adjustment mechanism is not under load. • Some reviews are scathing.
    Think about warranty issues.

    • Good ol American warranty…. Make America Great Again but no warranty with that

  • +1

Are these good for hammering screws into timber?

  • I'd look at Milwaukee M12 range of digital torque wrench instead.

    • The Milwaukee torque wrench range is good but they are a completely different application to this torque wrench - this is more for trucks and mining equipment.
Milwaukee 1/2 only goes to 150ft/lbs compared to 600ft/lbs for this wrench.
I have used the Snap On tools version and currently own the Caterpillar version of this wrench and can vouch for the quality and durability.
