  • Thanks OP, have missed out on previous deals. Picked two up for the dashcams!

    • Have you got it delivered? This is shipping from US, so did you have to pay GST on top of this pricing? And did you get free shipping since you bought 2 costing more than 49$ together?

Sorry for too many questions.. Never bought from Amazon US.

Free shipping cause bought 2. Received it pretty quick, things from most international countries generally gets delivered to WA faster than from eastern states lol. No additional price for gst since you’re actually paying Amazon AU - it’s been factored in (?).

  • Apparently high endurance is the new marketing hype to lure new dashcam owner into pay more for less capacity.
seriously, don't waste money on these, just get something cheaper. I have 2 year plus samsung evo doing fine with a buggy viofo that corrupts every single last recording when power cuts out but it hasn't died yet. Even older class 10 will do just fine with full hd recording. For the record, that 128gb evo plus was $33 more than 2 years ago.

Not true. I went through half a dozen sd cards before switching to a high endurance card which has now lasted a year. Ymmv, maybe it’s because I live in fnq where the sun and heat will burn most normal cards?

    • +2

Absolutely not true. It doesn't matter how long the card has been in there. What matters is the number of times data has been written over the whole card. All flash memory will fail eventually after it has been written to enough times. The high endurance cards can be written to more times than standard cards. This has been proven may times over by accelerated testing reviews.

Now, its entirely possibly someone might not use their cameras enough that the long life of this SD card matters. If you only drive 20 minutes a day you are never going to hit the advertised "43,800 Full HD" recorded hours. But for other uses where a lot more data is recorded (e.g. higher resolutions or 24/7 recording), the long life of the SD cards makes a big difference.

Is there any opinion about Samsung High Endurance vs Sandisk High Endurance?

    • +1

Samsung Pro endurance and Sandisk High Endurance is not equivalent. You might compare with Sandisk Max endurance for durability. For 128gb, warrenty and everything considered, Sandisk Max endurance (10yrs warrenty) > Samsung Pro endurance (5 yrs) > Sandisk High Endurance (2yrs).

      • Thank you.
Marketing department got me - I didn't realised there are 2 versions of Sandisk.

  • I'm still waiting for VIOFO A119 V3

Did you find a good deal for it?
