yes, as long as the phone has bluetooth.
They do, I have a 1st gen active and am using it on a pixel 3XL. It works well, the only downside is that you need to download 3 separate apps to get it going. My 1st gen has been replaced 3 times in 18 months, each time I have had battery/charging issues. The GPS has always been terrible. Looks like the active 2 may have solved those problems, although you would want to make sure that the active being sold by TobyDeals is covered by the Samsung Australia warranty (gives 2 years of protection).

Pretty certain it is not covered by the Samsung Australia warranty as a grey import on TobyDeals.
Yup, you just need the Galaxy Wearable app, which then downloads the watch plugin but they're not seperate apps. My experience has been opposite from Pedroz, funny enough my 1st gen active (SM-R500) has been faultless, except for the retarded design flaw of not having a built-in speaker despite being marketed as something that could take calls (has a mic too wtf). That's fixed in the 2nd gen and one of the reasons I want to upgrade.
TobyDeals usually sells grey imports and aren't an authorised reseller, so I don't think Samsung AU covers it under warranty.
B. For the purpose of this Warranty, a "Samsung product" is a product which:
• was manufactured by or on behalf of Samsung; and
• bears a trade mark owned or used by Samsung (generally "SAMSUNG"); and
• was sold by an Authorised Reseller or Distributor of Samsung; and
• was purchased in Australia, but does not include any hardware or software which is packaged or sold with a Samsung product unless that is itself a Samsung product or, that item is incorporated into the Samsung product or, in the case of software, pre-loaded onto the Samsung product at the time of sale. Nor does it include a Samsung Mobile Computer, which is subject to its own additional Samsung warranty.
You also need the Samsung Heath app, as Samsung does not play nicely with Google Fit or other apps.
Samsung watches work not only with all Android phones but with iPhones as well.
I have one of these. Have it paired up with Galaxy S9 FE. It is not a bad bit of kit for the price.
Do these work with non-Samsung Android phones?
