Wondering if the chair would be comfortable for office setup

    • +4

Would like to find out, but personally would just pay the extra than stand in the Aldi line for 2 hours before it opens.

It’s not that bad at box hill… the earliest I’ve seen is just one hour before

    • +1

yeah me 2. I think i'll just get it and if its not comfortable i'll return it.

      • I am genuinely asking whether you guys think the $149 price tag is a bargain for what the ALDI gaming chair offers.
I have seen similar chairs at Officeworks for slightly lower prices.

"Gaming chair" is such a dumb term imo. Save your money on this pleather crap and actually get a decent office chair.

    • +6

But then how will I use it for gaming?

    • +1

Gaming chair = race car seat

      • +1

If I put it in my car, will it become a race car??

        • only if you are driving ford falcon 2002 model

Gaming chair + gaming mouse + gaming mousepad + gaming keyboard + gaming LED's are what give competitive gamers the real edge.

Philips soundbar with Bluetooth, $99.9 - is there a model number? wanted to find out if this is any good…

    • -1

Or just buy it to try for 60 days.

      • +6

Or try to research what you're buying so you don't have to go through the hassle of returning it.

        • -3

Aldi 60 day satisfaction guarantee is no hassle at all.

        • I couldn't agree with you more. Returning items is a complete waste of time.

There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of info other than what is already on the ALDI website / catalogue.
I guess it would be a helpful if ALDI had a demo chair setup on their sale day (coming Saturday), but that's not how they run their stores.

It is also highly likely that this special buy won't show up at certain Melbourne Metro stores due to their supply chain disruptions.

    • Based on the model number posted below, it looks like it doesn't have a HDMI input. The inputs seem to be only bluetooth and 3.5mm jack. I'm not sure how that would work if you want to use on a TV with an Apple TV for example.
The user manual seems to be this one https://www.download.p4c.philips.com/files/h/htl1508_98/htl1…

I drove around to 4 NSW stores this morning looking for the De’Longhi fan, and had no luck whatsover. I’m annoyed enough to ignore any future special buys, they are likely to be made out of unobtainium.

    • +4

You can check the stock availability on their Facebook messenger

      • yeah, they had a few signs up on my store saying they might have supply issues with some items. for example, Christmas trees arrived just today, but they should have been available like 2 weeks ago (on my store, VIC)

    • +2

Have you tried queuing up at least 1 hr before?

Actually I queued up for the drill set a few weeks ago but it never came in. I died inside.

      • +1

This has happened to me too many times. 🤦‍♂️
ALDI then receives the shipment of the missing specials later in the week or the next week, but you don't know when. It is quite infuriating if you are after an item and spend an hour queuing up. I guess we can't blame ALDI as their supply chain is quite messed up at the moment due to COVID.

        • Happenned with me too. Just message Aldi on messenger everyday to know stock levels. Its all automated by bot. Thats how I got the product I wanted

          • @jedimaster: There is no stock of the Gaming Chair anywhere in VIC, as far as I can tell.

The bot looks at the stock levels reported by each stores at the end of the day. So, by the time you get to the store that you were told had stock the next day, they could all be gone.

That's a lot of wasted time and fuel. defeats the "special" buy…

time to neg vote Aldi deals? Every neg vote will discourage Aldi posts from tricking people into their stores

  • how is the delonghi coffee machine ?

    • I bought one of these ages ago from ALDI at a previous sale. Simple machine. It works, doesn't leak. Didn't take much practice to get an okay cup of coffee.
But I'm not much of a coffee drinker, only a couple per month. At this price, I felt it was worth to purchase just to have a play around with cheap ground coffee.

  • All of these are perfect for man cave with my next gen console…

  • Is the pressure washer any good?

  • Hmm no discussion about the $299 wireless security camera system. Guess it's probably s**t (kidding)

How does this kind of systems work? Does the base station have built in storage? How long will the 5000mah battery last per charge?

  • Lined up at the local Aldi with half of melbourne. Saw a guy walk out with a gaming chair. Quite a few tv's. Got into the store. Neither left.
Was after the fridge, but that doesnt seem to be in-store yet. Not listed on their product delays page for Victoria.

  • So who got the gaming chair? Is it any good?

    • Got one, but havent had time to set it up yet

Gonna review if it is good

First time to buy aldi special buy?.
Normally for this gaming chair, what is the price for the similar specification chair?

      • Which branch did you get form ? Went this morning to my local Aldi around South (Riverwood) and was told they were delayed and had no idea when they would be arriving.

Wonder if it's comparable to the $169 or $219 range at JB - https://www.jbhifi.com.au/?q=gaming%20chair&hPP=36&idx=shopi…

Might try the K-mart on for $99 on Friday or maybe just order this - https://www.banggood.com/BlitzWolf-BW-GC3-Racing-Style-Gamin…

        • little catch on Kmart $99 one,

hard pass on "Without 135degree reclining" just fixed chair only!

        • Interested in an opinion on the gaming chair for anyone that bought one.

My current computer chair just broke a few days ago, so I need a new one and saw this one in the Aldi catalogue.

Also, what is the K-Mart chair? Is there a link to that one?

The Banggood chair, I had a look at the link, but it says "(AU) No shipping method is available for this product to your location"?

          • @Ice009:

so I need a new one and saw this one in the Aldi catalogue.

You can forget about the ALDI gaming chair completely if you did not line up before 8:30 AM this morning to get one.

I was there at my local store by 8:30AM, and that was my mistake. I should have camped out over night (similar to what people used to do for new iPhones back in the days).

They probably only received stock of 5 or 6 chairs. To my great disappointment, there were all gone by 8:33AM. Likewise, for the 65" TVs which left a fair few folks frustrated.

To be honest, I was surprised they received stock considering it was a delayed item: https://www.aldi.com.au/en/special-buys/special-buystm-produ….

      • Cool! I'll be waiting for your post!

  • +2

Wasted time and effort on another Aldi again. Aldi specials are not genuine deals. It is a limited stock sale. full stop

    • +1

      100% Agreed.
They just did not supply enough stock of some of the special buys. This is not intentional on ALDI's part as they are impacted by a massive disruption to their supply chains.
However, it still sucks! By the time you get to a different ALDI store to check their stock, their stock would also be depleted.🤬

  • Did anyone manage to get a chair?
I got one and put it together but the quality is horrible. The stitching is already coming off the lumber support pillow and the elastic strap that holds the pillows to the chair snapped all before I even sat in it.
Not sure if I should just take it back and get a refund or go through the warranty process. Maybe I just got a dodgey one :(

    • Photo?

        • 😱🤬🤯
I would be spewing if that happened to a brand new chair assembled out of the box.
I sure am glad that I missed out on this deal last week. It would a hassle packing everything up, and taking it back to the store.
When I buy things, I usually make sure that they are of good quality as I hate returning anything. With some of the ALDI products, there is no way to tell in advance.
