Unsure when the promo will end, but better than having to wait for cashback on ShopBack/Cashreward

Been using the Restaurant gift card when dining out and works fine. Just a bit of an annoyance when trying to finish the amount and look out for card surcharge

  • Currently 10% on Cash Rewards (ends at midnight)
    I'm guessing with that FB code, the cash back won't work, so prob can't stack.
    I can't find the Restaurant card anymore though.
    P.S. I finish the amount at fast food places

    • I'm interested to know what fast food places accept this? I'd love to be able to use this at subway but believed fast food didn't qualify.

        yeah, that's what I thought too
        but luckily it worked at a KFC and also worked on Menulog

        • Really, mine got rejected. Thought it could only be use on Eftpos machine

        I used the term fast food in general (seems to be a dying phrase though as most stuff is now made to order, lol). But my point was cheap food to finish off those last few dollars 😉

        I've used it at Maccaz, Hungry Jacks, San Churo. Even the food place at Costco it worked for those $1 Hot Dogs 🤭

          Thanks for the info, I bought one tonight and was able to use it at Subway and KFC.

    • 10% cash back (when processed in due time) or 10% discount (immediately)? I'd go for discount :)
      And when you do a directory search on their website, maccas, HJs, Nando's all pop up… so not sure what's considered "fast food"…

        Lol, maybe they locked me out 😅 i tried both mobile and desktop and even VPN 🤣

        Only have access to Home, Him, Her, Teen, Kids, Baby, Active and Online.

  • I bought second card subsequently and transaction went through but I can’t seem to be adding it to my mobile app. Can anyone help on how can I do that?

    • U should get an email, which will then link to webpage where u have u fill up detail in particular phone number
      Then Ull get a txt with a link
      The link will then add amount to the TCN app. From there u can add to ur wallet

      Soz loads of steps hahah

    • I can't add to Apple Wallet either just get an error message the activation code doesn't exist :( Not a good start.

      • Yeah I had this issue too. The link only works once. After I flag it to them, I found them in the TCN App after scrolling through all my cards.

        • How did you resolve? The card shows in the TCN app but I can’t add to Wallet so I can’t use it. Unable to contact customer service could only leave a message. No way I would ever give one of these as a gift 😒

          • @Sweet3st: After I found them in the TCN app, i was able to add it to my wallet. Not sure why you can't sorry. I was only getting the Activation Code Error when clicking on the SMS link.

            I sent them an email. Pretty sure they use Zendesk. They advised me to uninstall the app and reinstall it. Luckily i didn't have to. You could try that but i would raise the issue in writing first, as i was concerned i would lose the cards, lol

    Just be prepared for TCN to ask you to email a copy of your government ID and credit card. And it you decline and ask to cancel, be prepared to spend time chasing them up for refund. I am still chasing them up after 4 weeks with no reply.

      Saving 10% at almost every place the family dines out is a big saving.

      5% woolies GCs get loads of love. We all dine out, as well as need groceries.

      • This card is pretty good..majority of the people don’t understand the product and the value it offers yet…well guess what once they do, TCN would stop these frequent 10% discount promotion…

    What annoyance is it to finish the balance though? Like places that don't allow split payments 🤔?

  • Seems they charging a processing fee of $1plus gst now..

  • They must have rushed their web implementation and with minimal user testing…I can't get the venue search(For the Bar card) to work when looking up the postcode '3000' Melb CBD- Other Vic postcodes seem to work- Tried it in two different browsers and same result.

    Also allows you to add a $500 digital card to cart but when you go to checkout, it immediately gives you an error that the maximum you can check out with is $300, removed the $500 and added only 1 x $300 digital card- checked out and same error again…poor user experience and ultimately made me close the tab and move on out of frustration.

    Also the $1 processing fee(per card or per $100 value) is a bit of a kick in the guys- Definitely wouldn't consider it if not for 10% off promo.

    • Think the $1 processing fee (per $100 value) + GST was introduce yesterday. Definitely a deterrent from buying further card if no offer were available

      Prefer the restaurant over the bar card as I find the card may work sometimes at pubs as well
