Purchased this last week from Lenovo Click Frenzy deal for $1519 and thought it was great price. Kicking myself for pulling the trigger.
Laptop is a bit heavy but runs pretty quietly most of the time. When under heavy load the fans get loud but this has only happened once.
Have been using it for work and to place racing sims.

($1321.53 after 13% Cashback @ Cashrewards)

2020 - the year of desperate retail i think.

    • YEs, its next Thursday, wonder why the deals this week.

      • Next Friday you mean?

He was referring to Grey Thursday

  • Looking for cousin for school next year budgeted 600-700 so perhaps this one for his uncle :)

lol it's still early in the morning, give him time to caffeine.

  • Would you recommend this or the https://www.pccasegear.com/products/49666/asus-tuf-amd-ryzen… , for a high school student that wants to also use it for gaming?

    • The 500 dollar difference is a no brainier for me. Get the cheaper one.

    • im no computer wizz but on the face of this specs I would go with the lenovo - 500 cheaper for the same thing almost?

Intel cant even come close to the performance of AMD 4800H, but this model in particular had some issues, i guess with display. Spec vise, AMD is much better with its 8 Core CPU's, check other reviews before buying.

      • Thanks. Do you mean the Asus has some display issue or the Lenovo?

        • +1

Asus have heaps of issues with this model. Stay away.

Not sure about Lenovo but Dell allows you to price match their website up to 30 days after your purchase in case the price drops!

    I think you're meant to put the price in the title as;

    "$1519 ($1321.53 after 13% Cashback @ Cashrewards)"

    • yes price at checkout is still $1519

      • and cashback isn't guaranteed. Mods will update at some point.

        • Can confirm Cashrewards processed cashback for my purchase but still no guarantee will work for everyone.

          • @Indie: How long it took to proceed. I ordered around 2pm and still nothing

    • sorry still new to posting deals - updated.

  • Have been using the same model from past 6 months. Fan noise only gets louder when there is heavy load running on CPU or GPU, otherwise runs quietly. Have upgraded SSD’s on this though. The screen and colors are good when compared to Asus.

    • What's the battery life like when not gaming?

      • Honestly, I keep my laptop plugged in all the time and turn on conservation mode in lenovo settings. This feature doesn't allow battery to fully charge which prevents battery life. I think battery life will be good if you disable GPU in lenovo vantage. I never got a chance to test the battery. Sorry!

    Thanks Mario, ordered 1.

  • Haven’t received any notification about cashback tracked for item. Brought around 2pm.

  • Looks likes a pretty good deal with the cashback. Would this be a good replacement for a desktop machine? I'm planning to plug it into a docking station running 3 monitors.
I'm assuming the RAM is upgradable?

    • Ram and SSD are upgradable.

    • RAM AND SSD's are upgradable. There is a second 2.5' SATA drive as well. Both supports 2TB SSD's. I did upgrade, no problem so far.

  • How do you get the 13% cashback? I only see 8% maximum.

    • Ended

  • I think out of stock or the deal has ended?
