Cheapest digital deal for console I've seen. Has rarely gone on deep deal, and never on console/digital so far.

This is part of Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals for 2020

Is it because of the slip the reason why it’s not coming to gamepass anymore?

    • +20

Who knows man, but you can almost guarantee that now I've bought it, it'll come to game pass in less than a month lol

      • +1

yup, coming to gamepass on the 3rd of December.

        • +1

lmao because of course. Standard Edition on Game Pass tho, so can't be too upset.

Personally, I don't think I will be buying games anytime soon since I signed up to GPU for 3 years.

    • Thanks for this! I did not know that, I’d never scrolled down that far!

$29.97 on PS Store if someone is after the PS4/5 version

    • Do you think this will include the next-gen upgrade though?

      • +1

Buy the digital PS4™ version of Control Ultimate Edition from PlayStation™Store and download the PS5™ version at no extra cost when it launches in late 2020.

        • That's referring to the PS5 launch, not the next-gen upgrade.

It doesn't look like the PSN page references the next-gen upgrade — I suppose it might be assumed.

          • @[Deactivated]: Unless I'm the one missing something, it literally says you get the PS5 version at no extra cost.

:EDIT: Looks like there is a next-gen upgrade for the game itself. Nevermind me.

          • +1

@[Deactivated]: Yep PS4 version includes a free upgrade to the ps5 version. Here is the info on the offical control page https://controlgame.com/introducing-control-ultimate-edition…

Comes up as $39.99 for me on aus psn though? The standard edition is $29 which doesn’t include the free upgrade.

            • @dwhes: You have it the wrong way around, Ultimate is $29. Standard is $10 more. Yeah I know, crazy.

          • @[Deactivated]: @nuegeorge, I'm confused (just might be missing something) is the PS5 version that will be available to download at no extra cost, not the same as the next-gen upgrade?

        • Wasn’t it delayed until 2021?

      • Yes it will. The ultimate edition includes the free next gen upgrade. It's those who bought day 1 or the game + season pass who are getting screwed by the publisher.

  • Alan wake 2 GTA style, inspired by silent hill would be nice.

  • +8

So that people can make an informed choice about whether to support this, note that they have engaged in the rather crappy business practice of not offering the next gen upgrade to people who previously bought the game (including the super expensive 'deluxe edition') and instead requiring people to re-buy the 'ultimate edition' if they want the upgrade.

Your choice, but personally I boycott products like this.

    • +3

Yep! I was really PO'd about this. I have the base game on disc and purchased the season pass (haven't gone back to play the DLC's yet, but will definitely get around to it). If they don't want to give the next gen upgrade for free like most other developers/publishers are doing, then they could at least offer a paid upgrade for say ~$10 or something instead of asking people to purchase the whole entire game again.

    • +2

It's 100% the publisher not Remedy making this call. Their next game, which will likely be Alan wake sequel, is ditching them & will be on the epic store.

  • +2

Don’t forget 7% Cashback on games thru Cashrewards!

    Edit: Oops 5.5%

    • do you know if paying with xbox gift cards is eligible for cashback?

  • +1

FYI, there's no Next gen enhancement atm. Will apparently be available "Early 2021"

  • +1

Red Dead Redemption 2 going for $40.47

  • +1

Fantastic game people worth every cent. The ashtray maze scene is insanely cool

  • Got this on xbox but haven't purchased any of the DLC's. Thinking of getting this on PS5 (worth it for the two DLC's), but anyone know if it's possible to transfer my Xbox saves over? I doubt it hey…
