I had one Level 9 starting address which the system didn't pick up because didn't start with and # and address and pulled out .
A couple were remote locations that they didn't cover .
Mandatory mob number that for some of mine I made it up .
I'm glad no came and wanted to use it while I was there :)
I really felt the can't copy and paste of same sender details .

    • +2

Yeah I just bought 3, and I felt the same. At the end of buying a parcel, it really needs to say "would you like to send another parcel?", and then a tick box for pre-filling the same to and from address details. From should definitely be ticked by default, as it's almost always going to be the same person doing the sending. With that user interface change, it would have taken about 50% of the time to get the same result.

  • Sent out eight parcels at two different spots, no one was using it whilst I was there surprisingly. Ancient and tedious system however plus I had to pay twice for one parcel as the scanner would not recognise the first barcode no matter what I tried. Both store employees were helpful with everything so that's a bonus.

Would've cost a lot more at AusPost/Sendle with tracking so this is deal of the week for me.

  • can I send parcels later tonight before midnight tonight? Or do I have to send during the day?

    • Sent one for $1 just now so I would guess right up until midnight.

    • Can definitely send anytime, but don't know if the cut off for the $1 price is 11:59pm in the city you are in, or 11:59pm ESDT. It's not mentioned in the T&Cs.

  • Just sent a parcel for $1. Never even noticed the facility there and I always fuel up at 7 Eleven so there you go! Process was easy and fairly straight foward. Took me some time however I feel like once you've done it once it will be a fair bit quicker the next time! Thanks OP for the heads up.

  • ebay does not give e the buyers mobile number so how do we get around that?

    • +2

Just put your own mobile number as the sender and receiver.

      • I got cut out ( 20 mins on the phone ) when trying to find out if the receiver mob number is necessary for pick up .
Tracking number is the CONNOTE # near the top of the label printed out .
If you have printed this out with receivers address you can relax and post any time . Not just today :)

BTW the labels I printed with out mob numbers I lay to waste till I know the above answer .

    • +2

I noticed that I couldn’t see the buyers number on the eBay app on my phone but I could when viewing the order details on the computer so I took photos / wrote the mobile numbers for each order on the boxes before I took them in to post

  • Anywhoo I am having trouble getting the toll tracking details to show up on eBay. Anyone know if I am supposed to put the CON note / shipment number into eBay tracking which starts with 711Sxxxxxx? I've also tried the reference (under shipment details) and Item tracking number (under freight details) when tracking the parcel on the website.

Side note: Sent a couple parcels yesterday from Brisbane and one is out for delivery in SA today - never would have gotten there this fast with Aus Post!

2 Items I sent yesterday lunchtime from the outer suburbs of Perth, are scheduled for Delivery in Suburban Sydney today.

    Express Post can't manage that.

    Good job Toll.

Now just make the UI better for sending multiple parcels.

    • And was actually delivered.

  • Not sure if it has been mentioned but I'm pretty sure Toll use to offer this service via Officeworks. I don't believe Officeworks offers it any longer thus the partnership & promotion with 7-Eleven.

  • Sadly, my two closest 7-Eleven stores do not offer this service.

  • I created my 1st Shipment yesterday and it hasn't been picked up by Toll yet. (Elsternwick VIC)

Same here, sent on Monday but not picked up yet (Tuesday evening). I called the hotline and they said it will be picked up within 3 - 5 business days (but sometimes 2 days)!

    • Packed this on Monday and it still hasn't even been picked up from the store (Thursday)!
Called 7-11, Toll, and Parcelmate… still no Joy and a very frustrating experience.
Would not recommend especially if your parcel is kind of urgent…

Yep, I called Toll hotline yesterday and they said they will give me an update today. Nada, Nothing….4 days, not picked up yet, I just want the parcel back but not possible either.

  • Thanks OP, worked perfectly and delivered in 1 business day, pretty great.

  • Just in time for Christmas.

Sent a package from Killara (NSW) to Runcorn (QLD) on 23/11. Parcel still at Botany (NSW) as at this moment (29/11), Will try to update my vote accordingly but not sure if I am allowed to

Update: this morning (3 Dec), 9 days since I posted the item at a NSWoutlet and 2 days I made a phone enquiry, I received 2 consecutive emails advising the item had been picked up from the drop off 7-eleven outlier just now - despite the online tracking showing the item had been at Mascot depot (NSW airport) since early last week. I would find it really funny if it is not the parcel I posted 😞.

      • hey! when I put the tracking number 711….. into the Toll tracking website, it says that no items is found in the system. How did you manage to find the location through the tracking number? pls let me know asap :)

  • I must be doing something wrong! I tried this morning, scanned the satchel and entered recipient's address. On the next page, I couldn't send it to the recipient's door, it looks to me like the only option is for the recipient to pick up at their local 7-Eleven. Can someone help me on what I have done wrong? Thanks.

Did try calling Parcelmate and their advice was to visit other stores to try…

    • I think on some addresses you can't change that during the inputting stage . I had the same problem last Monday and made sure the mob # was correct . Others that I didn't have a mob # I paid for but latter threw away as could cause big problems with pin required for collection from the lockers .

    • I just sent off about 15 parcels - 3 of which could not be delivered to to the recipients door (so I ultimately didn’t send them and will have to use aus post). Retried those 3 at the end and same result, I think it has to do with where the parcel is going, not anything you are doing

  • just tried to send a package an hour ago, fairly easy, no dramas…the lesson learned was to scan the barcode on eBay app first b4 dropping into locker but just need to type it in if not, no big deal, now just need to wait n c how long it will take them to pickup n deliver :)

    • where do you get the barcode from the eBay app?

      • +1

After marking the item sent, there's an option (on the app) to add a tracking number either manually or by using the camera to scan the barcode.

    • Geez, my first parcel already arrived at destination today, within 24 hours! Pretty impressed.
I went back last night to send another parcel, not pickup yet, assuming it will be pickup this arvo as well…will wait n c n report bk here.

      • my 2nd parcel sadly still hasn't arrived yet…v strange cos sending to the same state as first parcel…but different postcode…had been at depot for a week now…but still not delivered…

  • Any way to change the address after the label has been printed?

    • Not that I am aware of, think you need to scrap it and print a new one

  • I sent a few on Monday in Perth.
    1. Within Perth Metro
    1. To Darwin
    2. To Sydney Metro.

Delivery times is really subject their to be available flights / trucks.

For domestic parcel I would say Toll is more reliable then Australia Post.

Saying that I would recommend to have the parcel sent to a business instead of person home address.

Out of the 4 parcels I sent on Monday the one to Darwin and Perth Metro have being delivered.
Ironically speaking the one to Darwin got delivery before Perth Metro.

  • Does anyone know what time this finished tomorrow? Start or end of the day?

  • Thanks OP. Will give it a go tomorrow.

  • Can I pay for and print a label and send it next week? The 7-Eleven employee just told me I have to do it within half and hour or it gets cancelled?!?

Edit: Just called Parcel Mate and they told me that I can send the parcel any time so long as I have paid today and obtained the label. There is no need to send it today as well.

  • Sounds like a very slow pickup service. Reminds me of Officeworks mailman which I think was supported by fastaway couriers. I'd rather use auspost. This service does not appear to be better in any practical way imo.

    • I, like many others, say otherwise. Sent a parcel last Monday, delivered two days later on the other-side of the country.

Though the service can be a hit and miss, just like Aus Post and every other company.

    • I sent a parcel two weeks ago, on the Monday at 1pm, from Regional Queensland. It was received the next day at 2pm in Suburban Melbourne.

I sent four more parcels today …

    • Thats certainly a different perspective. Would you pay the normal rates to use this service?

  • Wish this deal ran for another week, pretty good delivery rate considering what's going on.

  • hey! When i entered in the tracking number, 711S0…. into the TOLL tracking page, it says that the item is not found! Does it take a few hours for it to enter itno the system? or is the tracking number wrong?

    • Does it take a few hours for it to enter itno the system?

      Yes.

  • Sent an item from one suburb to another within Sydney metro last Monday and it still hasn't been delivered

  • Thanks OP, was painless to enter 1 package and send. Sent a hardcover recipe book that AP probably would've charged me more than the cost of the book to send…

  • I bought 6. This is probably super silly of me but the affix/labels are super faded/patchy. I would not be surprised that they end up fading before I even post them.
