Just get the Sistemas, frequently for 10 at Coles/Woolies. They are identical.

    • Yeah I agree, haven't been on special these last couple of weeks though which has annoyingly coincided with me losing mine :(

      • The 500ml were on special last couple of weeks in Vic at 10 bucks. Mine scanned at the full price incorrectly so Woolies refunded me and let me keep the bottles. They had a range of Sistema sizes and colours in the sale

    • The SIstema bottle is so much better too.

    • Can anyone link me to the correct sistema one? There are so many versions on coles and woolies.

Don't know what to say about them, got from previous deal, if you want to use it for water then ok. If for beverage, especially protein then no. Drink gets absolutely everywhere where gummy parts are on the lid, screwing groves etc. Hard to clean stuff off and will soon start smelling. Tried leaving in water submerged over night, tried sodium bicarbonate, tried denture tablets. It's not supposed to be used in a dishwasher etc. But at the end I did the lid at least.

    • You have to remove the silicon seal each time you wash it, crap gets stuck underneath.

      • +1

I did, also that seal has groves of its own, had to clean it with a toothpick etc. Terrible

    • +1

Yup honestly pretty annoying to clean.

My main issue is that I think the tannin in my tea must be acidic because the lid area has some tiny spots of rust now and I'm confused and annoyed by this.

I don't know why it's so hard for someone to just make a basic smooth shape on the inside of all the damn flasks and bottles.

They always have corners and edges and seams that crap builds up in or that become weak points.

The only insulated thing I've actually continued to use is my hydroflask coffee mug, giant thread, thick coating, easy to clean and not rusted one bit…crap lid though IMO

It usually $15 according to 3xcamel

  • I have issues when doing the lid up too tight and it separates from the plastic base, frustrating

  • +1

Keeps water colder longer than other varieties that I've owned from Kmart, Coles etc. So a plus for me!!

  • Thx. Just got one. 13 suits me fine even if it's not perfect.

  • The Sistema is a better brand than ThermoCafe. Sistema keeps the contents cold and hot. Thermocafe does not.

    • Yes it does

Thermos THERMOcafe Vacuum Insulated Bottle is made with vacuum insulation technology for maximum temperature retention

      • I fill my sistema with ice and it is cold hours later, my thermocafe is warm within an hour. I don't buy Thermocafe anymore for this reason. Cheap and nasty play on the thermos brand in my view.

        • Maybe yours has a defect and the vacuum has failed

        • Mine works perfectly fine. Coffee stays hot for a long time.

Hoping for another deal on the 750ml Thermos.

There is another brand - Smash on sale at coles for $10 currently.

We bought 4 of these bottles a year ago (in two different sizes) and the caps are very poorly made.

The metal part of two caps has come loose and the rubber of the other two has peeled off.

Keeps water pretty cold and does the job… But waulity of build isn't there

Been using for a year to keep water cold at work and home and have no complaints. For 10 bucks, I expected it to break earlier. It keeps the water cold better than a Swell bottle ($60) I got as a gift.

  • +2

Hope this experience can help others - I've bought 2 other Thermos hot and cold bottles, first has parts breaking off within 2 weeks (part of outside has separate plastic strip), other has same issue within 2 months. Given poor quality, would not buy Thermos again.

I bought one in January and use daily for water. Does extremely good job of keeping water cold.

I have literally left it in the sun on the beach for 2 hours and the water is still fridge-cold.

  • Anyone notice that this bottle tastes like metal?

  • I have 2…they're good but the 750ml might be the better size I think.
