    Nice work. Ordering now.

Another review, but this one allows you to compare with others in it's class.

Yeah, Head-fi rates this as great value at $80, so at this price you'll be doing very well.

add SHIPPING_COUPON for an extra $2.95 off!

  • Just got em at Amazon for the same price. Heard they are excellent.

    • Amazon to OZ is currently about $50.

      • I get my stuff mail forwarded, so shipping works out pretty much free.

  • i assume it should be far better than my logitech UE-200? anyone can confirm please?

    • Yes own a few pairs of ue-200. Any balanced armature headphone will be better.

  • I'm using them right now.

Sound is good. That said, they are REALLY loud. Whether this is good or bad depends on the user. On my SGS2, I have them at volume 1 (out of 15) and it's loud enough in a quiet office. In the street or on public transport, volume 3. Really getting into the song, 7.

You'll blow an eardrum if you leave them at 15 :p

  • How would these compare to the UE 700's.
I know they are only single driver compared to dual drivers, but i lost my UE700 so would these be a worthy replacement for the price?

    • I'm hoping they are better because I'm 'upgrading' to these from the UE700's ;)

      • OK.
Iv done a bit of research and it sounds like they are on-par (if not a touch better) than the UE700's.
Cant complain for the price though.

        Getting mine now

Having owned both (as well as the UE Triple Fi 10), these do not compare to the UE 700. The UE 700 has better clarity, highs and lows). The A151 has more bass, so if you are into listening to Hip Hop etc, the A151 will probably be better. The UE 700 is significantly more comfortable (due to their small size), especially if wearing for long periods of time. It is easier to get a good seal on the UE 700. The cable on the A151 is probably a little better, but the overall quality on the UE 700 is higher. For the price, the A151 is a good buy. I doubt you will find better for under $50.

        • Thanks for the feedback Luztra

    • It should be superior.

They are Balanced Armature, which means their frequency response should be very accurate. (Though by no means does that mean this particular pair is correctly made.)

  • Reeeealy tempted to buy at this price. It's also great that their shipping is now $7 instead of the old ~$23. This deal brings the price a bit lower than SoundMAGIC PL-50 (same/similar drivers), while the MEE A151 is reportedly higher quality and better built.

Yes it is in fact the almost legendary Knowles "siren" armature. As someone who has both these phones beside the bed, I can tell you they are very very similar. Both have the same, somewhat mid-orientated sig similar to Shures (meelec somewhat bassier, better soundstage at very slight expense of some clarity).

Build quality on the meelec is definitely better; but isolation (for me) was better with pl-50 (isolation is fine for both, really). I was very happy to pay $80 for my a151 and this is a genuine bargain. You would be hard pressed to find another IEM with the build and sound quality of this for under fifty bucks anywhere. Great IEMs that don't cost a bomb and won't have you stressed about leaving on the train etc.

For anyone curious, the nozzle is compatible in size to Shure's nozzles (smaller than UE), so any of those will work fine.

  • ordered one. thanks.

  • ordered one too. thanks for sharing this deal!

goddamn…….i have already bought 3 pairs of MEE earphones off them in the past 3 weeks from their numerous deals, WHY do they keep on having sales?

  • BOUGHT ONE!

Damn you OZB and your convincing members.

  • I just ordered a set too. Ive heard great things about the older models, so i figured its worth a punt for $50.

Always wanted a BA headphones, hopefully it could stack up to my CX300II. Cheers

  • Thanks, will try these to see how they go, now that the wife has "borrowed" my jays-four's

well?! just missed out I believe :(

    • Yeah.. I just decided to get a pair and found same thing. Poor show on part of rep not to say when it would expire. Oh well, I didn't really need them I guess.

      • LOL, I missed out too. Well there's still Amazon for not much more, but still…

  • Has anyone got theirs yet?

  • Yes got mine today.
