Samsung Galaxy Buds+ (Black) $129 Delivered (HK) @ Toby Deals AU

170

Hi all,

Just sharing this, possibly for Price Match with OW? Not sure if it'll work yet, going to try it out this afternoon.

Samsung Galaxy Buds+ with 11hours playtime on single charge.

I was looking to replace my Jabra 65t because I need more battery life, full work day would be nice.

Seems to have good reviews, just no multi point connection, but can live with that.

Hopefully officeworks will price match and bring the price down to $122.55

Seems like a good deal, with Kogan currently selling their for $149 + Shipping.

Hope this helps someone :)

EDIT: Snap, just saw that Kogan reduced their price to $145.99 + free shipping!
https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/heybattery-samsung-galaxy-buds-…

Update: OW didn't Pricematch any of the prices, quotes they are all international stock, so No Go there!
However followed comment from @kcbworth and that worked out perfectly!
Getting local stock, delivered for effectly $139

$229 (Original Price from GG eBay) - $90 (pricematch voucher) = $139

Happy days!!! :)

Just sharing this, possibly for Price Match with OW?

Good luck, I've tried multiple store and have been rejected the second I mention TobyDeals. But YMMV.

    • Thanks mate,

I'll give it a go, and if not, could fall back on the Kogan offer, with shipping, comes to $160, and 5% PM comes down to $152, which is still better than the $228 they have on the OW site :)

Nothing better you can buy at this price.

  • Thanks good for a credit card price match also

  • Kogan just dropped their price as well, with free shipping!

    • Note Kogan one is also sold by a third party (Heybattery).

      • You should be able to get an officeworks price match with them still? Or an ebay price guarantee claim

        • Price-matching will depend on the employee. They could argue that it not the same stock (Grey Import, etc).

@RichardL: Personally I'm a big fan of ebay price guarantee claim (ebay does price match with Kogan ) and then spend the voucher immediately on Wish gift cards. So in this case e.g. buy from good guys ebay https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Samsung-SM-R175NZKAASA-Galax… for $234 (delivered) and then make a claim against the $129 and get a $105 + 5% of $129 = $111.45 voucher (which I'd use to buy $125 worth of Wish Gift cards from https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Woolworths-Wish-Gift-Card-25-50-… )

Has benefits of local stock, pickup option (although voucher will be slightly lower if you dont pay delivery ironically), relatively straightforward returns at the good guys, and I'd assume easier warranty claims in store etc.

Can also get cashback etc on the $234 price (rather than the lower price you matched against) - not that ebay cashback is particularly good these days.

For ease of mind, I always confirm the price match before I actually buy the item, then make the purchase and subsequent claim while I have the active chat session open - launch chat from bottom of this page https://www.ebay.com.au/help/buying/paying-items/ebay-best-p…

            Just a thought

@isthisreallife22: Thanks for the tip. ebay didn't match the $129 price because price match is based on the retail price of the listing, not including the Plus Rewards. But as you've noted it was a relatively pain-free exercise, you get the extra 5% difference + local stock - which is what really wanted.

@isthisreallife22: Thanks heaps for this mate!

I tried the OW method and it was a no go. They wouldn't PM either TobyDeals or Kogan, even said the kogan was price was an international, so denied!

Just did as you said, purchased with the good guys ebay, had ebay on chat for the pricematch and that worked!

              I paid:
$229 to ebay goodguys (ebay plus, so no delivery charge + didn't use voucher)
              Price matched with Kogan $146
Got a voucher code for $90.31

Cant complain, local stock and looks like it is $139… so I'm happy with that.

              THANKS OzBargain FAM!

              • @BlackVY: @kcbworth: and all above

thanks so much, bloody awesome discount on local stock (literally 2km from my house)

been on the lookout for a good price on buds+ that aren't grey imports, and got burnt by amazon US with defective buds+

followed above steps kindly summarised by @BlackVY - easy $91 discount (not sure why the voucher amounts seem to change)

                thanks again OzB fam!

Also if you have plus Rewards (costs $4 for first 4 weeks) and Commbank $30 cashback, it’s $99 via Kogan

The CART3 coupon works for about a 5 dollar discount.

  • JB Hifi has this for $168 - if you prefer well known brick and mortar shop

  • Grabbed a pair. $127.06 with CR.

  • Thanks OP, ordered one.
Any idea how long TobyDeals orders usually take to arrive?

  • Thanks, tried it with the CART3 coupon for $125. The T&Cs sound a bit worrying in terms of what happens if something goes wrong/doesn't work/etc and the effort to return it… maybe I should just buy it from Amazon for $168 with the 12% CashRewards and 3% discounted egift cards at around $140 total.
