Thats a lot of phone in that price.
    Good one!

    Isn't SDM660 pretty old

    • Yes but for general usage it's still OK, plus this is Android One so it's lighter to run. Now if you can get Pixel 3a at this price that would be better but they are OOS and Pixel 4a is a lot more expensive.

got some good spec for an old phone though!

  • Does this model have the dodgy usb c port?

    • +1

No, that was the previous generation of Nokia phones.

So close… want something with similar specs and price but IP67/8 rating.

Nokia = Android One with prompt updates - maybe some of the time.

Nokia 5.1+ got Android 10 about 3 months after a Mi 9T and 1 month after an Oppo A52 arrived in our house with Android 10.

Which leads me to - an Oppo A52 $247 all day everyday over the N 7.2

Got this phone before. Pretty lag for me.

    • That would be the 4gb version. No lag on the 6gb one.

  • I've got this phone and the google assistant button is really annoying any time I pick up the phone I hit that button.. would have been super great if you could reconfigure the assistant for a long press instead.

I also find this phone frustratingly slow for random things. sometimes unlocking the screen can take up to 30 seconds. It has been like that since I got the phone and have gone through many software updates.

the whole google android one stuff is great constant updates but it can't help the slower CPU.

You can remap the button to another function, like a flashlight, for example.

  • Good price, would you say its better than an iphone 7plus 128gb? (what i currently have but also have no ties to apple ecosystem)

Which ios is the iPhone 7 running at the moment?

      • 14.1

        • +2

If it's not laggy on 14.1 or slowed down by Apple and you don't really need a new phone then I would stick with the iPhone.

I have this phone too its had a lot of trouble in the past, was really slow after an update that took months for next update to fix it.

Samsung A21 is much faster to use if your after a budget phone and not worried about pure android one.

Doesnt do fast charging at all, bit of a deal killer for me.

Have this phone, as mentioned charging is slow, camera is just about ok and in general use can be a bit laggy. Not bad for the price & the regular updates are a plus.

  • Who is buying this phone at $499? A RRP of around $350 seems far more realistic

  • +1

Worst phone I've ever had, including the old Nokia E71. Very slow and laggy, very poor battery life.

  • +1

Yeah I have this phone, does some weird stuff, when on a call the torch decides to turn on, disables 4g on occasion on its own. NFC is buggy as would work one out of 3, so I don't bother anymore, battery life is so so. I wouldn't recommend it. Probably should of stuck with a Moto.

    • Never experienced any of those issues on mine - yours could be a manufacturing dud.

  • The screen is expensive to fix -apparently, what the tech guy said - which is why I didn't buy it. Got Galaxy A21 instead $350. Only 32g, system about 9g apps 9.5g only leaves me about 10g storage, so that sucks.

    • At $300 wouldn't you just throw it in the bin and start over?

      • +1

        No, why?

        • +1

Some people are worse than others, but assuming you crack the screen halfway through its lifecycle, you'd just put that money towards the next generation ~$300 phone.

  • hi all, anyone who got this willing to share a pic of the receipt please
