VMWare is running a great "Cyber Monday" deal on VMWare workstation and VMWare Fusion. I understand that this may not be of interest to everyone, but if you work in IT and running VMs on free products, this might be a good upgrade for a decent price.

I use Fusion 3 and 4 on OS X Lion. Fusion 4 at this stage is still unstable. I had to roll back to version 3.

  • Just upgraded my workstation 6.5 to 8.

    Thanks.

Just be aware there is a huge cost difference between the US digital store and the Australian one for Workstation 8. Regular price is about $199US in the US vs $291AU in the AU store. 30% discount on either is still a big difference between the two so if you can go the US one.

    • I was quite shocked by the almost $100 extra "Australia Tax"…

Don't support the local sales channel if they are gonna rip us off to that extent !!!
I can't imagine how it could actually cost THAT much extra to "deliver" a digital DOWNLOAD to Australia ;-)

      • Microsoft is the same with their Technets and stuff. I won't go back unless they can get their act sorted

  • Thanks just bought a copy of Fusion for $35.99 (not sure how thats 30% off :P)

Coming from Parallels, but have heard good things :)
