    This vs pro?

    • The price?

    • Sapphire obviously

    • I mean does this have anything Pro has + Saphire glass? These models and types for Garmin are way too complicated :)

      • +1

Same watch, just with sapphire glass.

      • defo sapphire as same watch just with sapphire glass, bought one in their 50% off mistake.

Nice work, OP. Talked myself into this today with the JB deal, but didn't want to deal with the whole retail/black friday fight. Bought and paid for. (Doesn't hurt the Amazon warehouse is 10klms down the road.)

    ;)

    • There's many Amazon warehouses in Australia. Inventory can be anywhere

  • This would be 0% cashback wouldn't it as it's under electronics?

    • 4% for electronics at both CR and SB

    • wearables are 0% for CR.. mine got rejected…phew

  • silly question but how does this compare to the samsung active 2 44mm which is also half price around $390 ?

    • +2

Garmin is better if you are serious about the fitness aspect, Samsung if you want a better smartwatch and have a Samsung/ android phone.

This is like almost buying a PS5/Xbox console (without the markup though).

    • not really in terms of the scarcity

how is that a measurement of anything? Why not go back to using money, it's much easier for me to understand.

    • So what?

I have the fenix 5 saphire and I am very glad I got the extra protection in the saphire glass… of course a total rip-off for a chemical add to the glass, but I banged it so many times and it still looks great and at this price point, you don't want to be overly careful with the watch..

  • +1

This is probably the no fuss option.

Was thinking of getting discounted gift card to use at JB, effectively bringing the price down to $595.

But have to take a chance of out of stock after buying the gift card.

    • you can only bang it down to 624 at jb because they have limits on giftcards im pretty sure

      • +1

Yea, that too. Just read about the $500 limit (max $75 saving).

  • Can you auto sync Strava with this watch?

    • +1

      Yes you can.

    • 100%

  • thanks, picked one up from here so I don't have to deal with the JB hifi black Friday melee lol

  • is anyone here bothered by the size? i tried one on a few days ago and it is one very chonky watch. to that point that i didnt end up lining up for one today.

    • Na, I have small wrists, it’s light and comfortable and looks great. I was worried about the size at first to going in blind as my jb didn’t have dummy stock to try on, got home put in on and very impressed. Will be sleeping in it tonight to test the sleep tracking which I don’t see a problem doing as I already forgot it was on my wrist a few times already.
