      • Ended up having to choose a different service centre to get it to work.

        It crashed when paying but after refreshing it now has a page saying:
        "Order confirmed #7723XXX
        Your order and booking details have been emailed to you. We’ll see you then!"

    Terrible website.

    @sallyj - Instead of having us try every store near us only to receive a "Availability: Limited" message for every store, it would be a better idea to list all of the nearby stores stock levels once the person has selected the tyre. Provide a table with which stores (within a certain radius) have stock and the number of tyres available.

    Was chasing 4 x Pirelli Cinturato P6 205/50R17 93V's but nowhere has stock (after repeating the process for every store listed near my suburb and every suburb near my workplace approximately 40 kms away).

    Update: Found one store, after searching through at least ten. Fingers crossed the stock levels are correct … if so, saved about $200 on best fitted price.

    So how do you claim flybuys for mycar? I didn't see any fields… then it timed out on the payment page :-/

    • I will have to call FlyBuys to add them back. Have done so for Kmart and Coles, not sure MyCar is the same trick.

    • Just checked the offer on flybuys app and it says have to scan it in-store. Doesn't mention anything about online transaction.

    • Just had my tyres fitted, they took the flyby card just before I got my invoice.

    • No email. Transaction shows on credit card, and the order is in the Mycar account screen. Successfully got thru maybe 4 min ago

    • Yep charged twice too but only one appears on my transaction list so I reckon only one was successful and one failed and probibly will be refunded.

    • Did you end up getting the incorrect charges refunded? If so, how did you go about it? They have firmed up both charges so I need figure out how to get one reversed.

  • They are answering the phones now, if you need tyres showing limited availability that you can't order online give it a try. I only had a 70 minute wait, YMMV ;)

    I called up, waited for the tyres to arrive and then I paid. Isn't that how it normally goes. Cos I'm planning on getting 2 more sets of tires at 2k

  • The most painful website experience I've had in a while. Finally got four ($456) for the RAV. No confirmation email. Fitting appointment details showing in my account. Credit card charged. Took a screenshot of the Payment Success page. Not sure why.

  • I called them up, they said nothing appeared on their system despite my credit card being charged after a bad payment gateway.

    I booked in over the phone - they said I can just pay the black friday price in store. They said to call to cancel the authorisation on my credit card in the event it doesn't automatically disappear.

    Just phoned up for some out of stock 225/55/R18 PIRELLI SCORPION VERDE ALL SEASON's.
    Phone dropped after 13mins first attempt. Got through after 30mins on the second attempt.
    Earliest booking date for the tyres was 10th Dec.

    Listed price yesterday was $259. Sale price was $129. Very pleased.

    Tempted to see how a (normally $2000) set of tyres go on my Toyota Camry 😂 would only consider it at half price

  • Called the hotline as my tyre size was limited and on hold for 50mins but process was easy as. No payment required either until tyres fitted!

    Site worked first time for me. No confirmation email but the order shows up in my account

  • Ordered through the phone after 62 minutes on hold. Booked in the P Zero PZ4 $1176 total, they say pay on the day (9th Dec), and no confirmation email or text message. They said a text message will be sent closer to date. I am skeptical but let's see.

    • Same thing here, after 1 hour 20 minutes I got through and made a booking after getting the price quote. Was told I will pay on job completion and will get a text before the fitting day to remind me. Hopefully the quoted price will be honoured.

    • I went to the shop and they confirmed it on their system and also confirmed price, all good to go I think.

    apparently they are having issues with their IT department and are figuring it out. Don't think they've ever had this many calls lol

  • Call 13 13 28 and opt for a call back instead of waiting on the phone for long. They will call back when it is your turn. Inform which tyre, which is the closest center to you and when you would like them to change the tyre. It was a very easy and efficient process for me.

  • Called and booked 4 p zeros, received confirmation email containing quote of discounted tyres, but underneath it says “Please note: The tyre prices listed are valid for 7 days from 27/11/2020 and all other quotes are valid for 14 days.” Though I’m not getting them fitted till next year

    • that's lucky… i am on hold for an hour now, after 2 previous calls were hung up on after a 15 minute wait time!

      tyroola doesn't include fitting and balancing in their price if that is important to you as well as a couple of other perks.

      • Tyroola is offering free mobile fitting and balancing on those tyres.

  • This has to be the biggest joke, have an online chat which has been "waiting to connect to a team member" for over an hour, and at the same time I've been on the phone for the past 3 hours - it disconnects every now and then

  • I got my local Bob Jane to price match the MyCar offer on a set of 4x Pirelli Cinturatos.

    In true Ozbargainer fashion, I've bought them despite my current tyres probably having another 10,000km worth of life in them.

    Should I buy the tires and pay to get them fitted later (at a cost)? Or get them fitted now? Decisions!

    If anyone has any idea on how much it would cost to have tyres fitted / balanced (excluding the cost of the tyre) I'd be all ears!

    • I'm in a similar situation - 2 cheap chinese tyres on the front and 2 hankooks with about 2mm left on the back, ultimately decided to get it done now rather than running it down into marginal territory. If you wanted to get someone else to fit them later most places would charge at least $20 a tyre I would think.

      • Yeah I probably would've done the same as you except I have semi-decent Toyos on my car currently… seems like a waste to change them over now!
