  • Okay so went in store to see if I can book it in over the counter and hence get flybuys points. They said it was meant to be an online only thing but the guy was able to do it for me over the counter.

      • I was in line for 2 hrs without anyone answering. You can try call bob jane for price match but for me they quickly went from booking me in next wednesday to out of stock when i asked to price match. Also try other nearby stores because you may be able to book online that way if you find stock.

          i don't need these tyres urgently so OOS status is actually in my favour as I believe they need to order them. I am happy for the fitting to happen mid 2021.
          and yes i am still waiting for someone to take my call and to come to my chat session.

          it is now passed 5 pm; i hope they don't close the call centre and leave me hanging here.
          and just got {profanity} disconnected after waiting for 1 hour and a bit.

    Feel sorry for the woman who spoke to me, she sounded deflated.

    Apparently they can't book me in until February when the shipment arrives! Hoping not to have this car by then but didn't have to pay uet so I'll just have to cancel if they don't come in sooner than expected.

    twice i have been on hold for 1.5 hours and got disconnected.
    chat queue does not seem to be manned. it is almost a criminal to do this to customers.

  • With all of the issues experienced yesterday, has anyone contacted them to see if they will honour the deal again today? I was going to try call this morning when open.

    • I doubt they will - would be nice if they could though because they wasted a lot of time! I tried twice, once I waited 45mins the second time 65mins and both times had to hang up because of work. Maybe sallyj (associated) could look into whether something can be done?

    Booked over the phone on Friday for 4x Pirelli P1. Confirmed for an appointment on Monday (today). Turned up and the staff were surprised as they had no stock of any pirelli's.

    They replaced the order for the same price with some Continental UC tyres instead and not sure if I'm done better or worse on the deal.

    • Just as well they price matched on comparable product.
      Phone people messed up and booked you in too early by the sounds of it. No time to get stock out to store. Could have cost you double according to T&C's!

      Sounds like confirmation emails were not sent out due to an IT issue they had. My fitting appointment is showing in my MyCar account. They need to overhaul their entire website (front and backend), it's almost a deal breaker to interact with.

    I was able to find my tyres online "in stock" at a store nearby, and chose a booking date of Saturday 5/12.
    Now just got a call saying they don't have my tyres in stock and need to wait until after the 19/12.

  • Just had my tyres fitted this morning.
    Had to ring up yesterday because I hadn't received the conformation yet, spoke to customer support and it was all good and booked in.
    The service was spot on, can't fault them at all and the tyres are great.

  • Got mine fitted today all was good also got wheel alignment done. Did not get a confirmation email but i called 2 days ago and confirmed over appointment over phone.

    Had mine fitted this morning. The manager was grumbling about "such a stupidly cheap deal that we can't keep up with….". They all looked overworked and underpaid for sure. No issues with the fitting process and we did a walk around before fitting to agree on the condition of my rims and panels.

    "Sorry, we have to reschedule your appointment for Thursday, we are having trouble getting stock. Earliest we can supply is 21st Jan."

    • Was booked in for tyres this morning, but received a call at 4pm yesterday afternoon advising they wont have stock for weeks :/

    • I've had this happen twice now, originally booked for the 8th Dec and got an SMS asking to call them and moved to the 21st Dec then got another SMS and got pushed back again to the 31st Dec. Guy on the phone said it was due to stock issues.

      • Yeah not great planning on their part. Okay if you've booked for Feb/March fitting, but with first fitting available from 2nd Dec should have had some stock reserves. My current tyres being board-line unroadworthy, I was needed a fitting ASAP with a road-trip coming up. Maybe they'll be accomodating to price match a comparable tyre they do have in stock. I wonder what your chances are for 31st Dec, if I've been advised 21st Jan.

    credit where credit is due. Berwick (VIC) store did a great job changing my tyres for this deal. No damage at all to wheels. I took high res pictures before and told them about people posting here about damage to wheels and told them I had taken before pictures. He wrote in big writing on the job sheet, "Take care not to damage wheels". Close inspection after I got home and not one mark. Would recommend this store for a tyre change over.

    • As always it is not the brand of the business or the actual shop that has the bad service attitude, it is the person doing the job.
      I have had good experiences the few times I have dealt with them also.

  • Got a call saying they’re having shipment issues and won’t have my tyres in stock till 16th feb which is ridiculous…ordered in november and have to wait 3 months for tyres. Not sure if I can wait that long, might spend a lil extra and just go with the re003 deal instead.

    Almost as if they’re trying to avoid honouring this deal with what happened on the day and now this.

  • Can anyone confirm that payment had to be made online at the time of booking this?
    Just had my tyres done and they said I still had to make payment. I could have sworn I had to enter credit card details when making the booking, so assumed that the payment was done online, can't seem to find it on my card statement though.
