    • Hi Figarow, that is not a TGA Approved unit, which is a big deal on blood pressure monitors. They need to be TGA Approved for Health and Safety reasons :)

      • ok…

Rep, I will appreciate, if you link the product page and not your website as advertisement. Its annoying to find the product.

      Hi Gagans done. :) Cheers

      • Much appreciated. Thanks.

  • How much is shipping?

  • Sub-Total: $29.95
    Freight (V1 zone charge): $7.95
    GST included (10%): $3.44
    Total: $37.90

not sure the price, is it ok for a digital???

  • Can you advise what the cuff size is.

So people know, TGA Approved generally simply means this product probably won't harm you. It doesn't mean it's accurate or the TGA has even physically inspected the unit.

And when things are approved they're giving an approval number. Which doesn't seem to be anywhere on the esold website. Rep - what's the approval number?

You know what, regardless of whether it's genuinely TGA approved, I'm voting neg as the approval is misleading. TGA approval means nothing about the product other than that you've paid the fee that allows you to include "TGA approved" in the advertising.

    • Agree. There have been many medicines TGA approved only to be withdrawn a short time later due to health concerns.

It is 100% TGA Approved, I have checked with the supplier who has been around for over 20 years (HOME CARE BRAND) and I am shocked at why you would neg it. Please remove the NEG

    • yes but where's the approval number? I'll neg too if you're going to get pushy.

    • +1

Address my concerns directly and I'll happily remove the neg.

What does the approval entail and what does it practically mean, and what's your proof of approval?

EDIT When searching the ARTG page for devices including "300c" or "bp 300c" found nothing. Is it under another name?

      • The TGA approval is in the form of an Aust L xxxxx or Aust R xxxxx number. I just had a look at my Omron device and it doesn't look like it has either approval. Also I dont think it makes it an inferrior device either.

        • The ARTG page has a search based on the "Device" category and "Product Name", of which bp 300c and 300c don't get results.

I totally agree that the approval means basically nothing, as I mentioned in my first post. But I at least want the approval to be technically legit, even though it doesn't mean anything about the quality of the product.

  • i think people should think long and hard before they consider getting a BP monitor
there are very few people in the world who need their bp checked that often.
(am not commenting on the merit of this deal per se but rather the concept of a home BP monitor in general)
also - suprisingly - when it comes to medical equipent you pay for what you get (shock!! horror!!)

    • Ever heard of white coat syndrome? These people can only ever get an accurate reading by measuring their own BP at home.

      • thats what a 24hr bp monitor is for.. :P
i didnt say it was for no one.. rather that there are way too many people out there who check their BP way too often. ie think long and hard about whether you need it.

  • FYI

  • Arm cuff size?

  • Guys - Don't misread "This works the same as the one from your doctor." for being this is as accurate as the one from your doctor. OP is misleading here.
