So am interested in a decent sports watch. I'm using a Fitbit Versa 2 at the moment and even though it supports music there is an issue with the Bluetooth and Airpods where the sound just cuts out all the time (known issue for 2 years, no fix in sight).
So my usage would be running (3 times a week ~4kms for now), light weight work (3 days a week), walking (maybe 1 day a week).
I'm also keen on the 6X price at the moment from JB but wondering if that watch was overkill for me.

Garmin 6X Sapphie - $615Which one would you guys go?
I guess it all depends on your preferred size.
I have a Fenix 3 non Sapphire and it is still in great condition after 3.5 years of mountain bike, beach, abseiling etc. It has got micro scratches but considering what this has been through I am quite happy I did not spend the extra $$$ for sapphire.
In addition to the size difference and sapphire (non-scratch), you also need to take into account the feature difference. The 6 does not have music, no garmin pay, no maps.
If these don't matter then 6 is better with the lower cost. For your workload the Garmin Forerunner 245 or 945 might be better suited since you do get music and pay on those for less. The 6 comes into its own when you add hiking and other activities.I personally am in the same boat as you (5k runs x 3 times a week). Been using a Garmin vivosmart band for the last year that I bought on FB for $100 since it gave most of the features. Been waiting for a good Fenix or Forerunner deal all this time and just bought the 6X just because of the insane deal.
